If it’s an important boundary for you, then enforce it. If not, then you shouldn’t set it in the first place. A man that sets boundaries that he won’t enforce is a pushover. Even worse, a man that sets arbitrary boundaries is a tyrant. So, your boundaries must have meaning behind them, and they must be enforced.

To your specific problem, no one here knows or cares about the specifics of the issue. As the leader of your household, figure out what it is that is making your wife miserable and lead her to a solution. You don’t have to fix it for her, but you can lead her in the right direction. So stop playing into her game and arguing with her like equals, and start leading her as her husband, wherever you deem it necessary to lead her to.

I have a story, short one about some people I know. Don’t know if it relates, but seems to without full context of your situation.

Guy I know (not a friend mind you) couldn’t afford his apartment, so he found a small house next to his dads place so that his kids could go see their grandfather whenever they wanted. She came along as the obedient wife, but this kids had nothing but grandpa anymore since there was no other children to play with it by grandpas house. I believe they had 3 with 2 in school.

Then, they had a truck and a car, and he sold her car and bought a motorcycle. Letting her take his truck whenever he wasn’t using it or the motorcycle, which did have enough room for the kids. Then he started going to bars and stuff to meet his friends allowing her to only take care of the kids.

Basically, he isolated her from her friends, family, and neighbors. I bet you MRP guys can figure out what happened…
