The specifics will depend on you and her and your town, but don't ever be afraid of going to a venue in a certain part of town(within reason). I could be a multi-millionaire but if our symphony is in the middle of the ghetto and a hard core gangster thug kicks my ass she'll be attracted to that ass kicking thug over my rich ass symphony liking ass.

I like to take my girl to the coolest and sketchiest place I can think of that's worth it. I don't want to get stabbed but if I know I'm strong enough to fight off most crackheads, I'll probably get laid. Take that how you want. You want to run every street you can without getting killed.

My non dangerous shit would be comedy clubs, only after you have the frame to handle it. Act like you and the comedian are best friends.

First, don't call it a date night. You'll make her feel old. I like places with live music and some dancing. Women like to dance and like men who aren't afraid to dance. You don't have to go salsa dancing, you can dance to some 80's cover band and be fine. Comedy clubs are, as stated below, gold. I recently went out with my wife and another couple to dinner and after dinner, around 10:00 went to a bar to see a live band and dance. Great evening, filled with dinner and laughing with friends and then grinding in front of strangers at a bar.

edit: We left the other couple and went out alone after dinner.

Why is it that many women can enjoy a comedy show, movie, etc. with off-color humor on their own (i.e. ignore the stuff they don't like, laugh at what they do, like a normal human)? But, with a LTR they turn into the queen SJW?

In my experience anything that is out of the ordinary routine is a good bet...be unpredictable. Unpredictable is almost always, by default, fun for women. Bonus points if you choose an activity where you can demonstrate mastery of some skill and teach her something new. If you usually Netflix and chill on sunday afternoon, take her hiking instead.
