I’m asking for opinions based on personal experience. I’ll offer up mine. The question is what has your experience been?

Where exactly do you feel the strongest influence of alpha and beta traits cam from in your life? I personally believe some I was just born with, and hormones/testosterone/puberty enforced and boldened them. Others came from my parents and other influential people raising and unfortunately, from societie’s bullshit through TV, the school system, etc.

I noticed at a young age, as young as I can remember, I was very competitive. It came natural. I was into sports and things of that nature. I also noticed some guys were more successful here, more muscular, etc, and this was before puberty. Natural alphas I suppose.

When it came confrontations such as bullying I was always willing to fight or even wanted to to resolve a situation, but I’d size it up. If I KNEW I was going to get a beat down I’d weasel out and scheme up a plan. I didn’t think on this, and I wasn’t taught this. It just was.

I naturally wanted to lift and be strong. Had some good success with this at 15 years old or so. I wasn’t gifted here. Had a workout buddy running circles around me, but I achieved enough to be the strongest on my baseball team. Kinda what I was after. An indicator my testosterone levels were where they should be as a teen.

Now, beta traits. I don’t feel the need to go into detail, but let me say they are surely there. Mostly emotional. The way I’ve handled them. Kinda still identifying those at the moment. Been there my entire life and maybe just amplified by puberty.

So all that background was leading up to adulthood. Starting around 22 things started sliding as far as what was those typical alpha traits. Less assertive, decisive, competitive(eventually). Could not improve in the gym.

33, enter TRT. Holy shit! Much of this all made sense. I was literally having memories long since forgotten from back the last time I had felt that way. It touched on all the traits the advertising tells you it does, but I didn’t just become alpha or necessarily appear that was. It gave me some mental clarity. Maybe made it possible to see these traits I had know man in the past.

3 years later, enter TRP. Again, holy shit! This is the real deal. Zero barriers for me in believing it. Just trouble accepting after all this nonsense programming from society.

The traits I had that were alpha just kinda slipped back in at this point. They feel natural. I believe I’m coming to understand the emotional beta traits as time passes and I accept things for what they are.

This wasn’t supposed to be so long. Just interested in others thoughts on what influenced your natural alpha or beta traits, and what lead to more/less.
