This is somewhat a rant/bitching/victim puke. So ride me hard if you wish, but I'd be grateful for some nuggets of wisdom. You guys have helped me a lot already.

I have been lifting and eating relatively clean, improving my life, and working towards being a better self. I have a wife, a dog, a new car, and am working towards my own house. It's not perfect, but improving.

I have also been going to therapy. And going through my shity behaviour, my shity beliefs, and all the mental issues I had, it all boiled down to childhood. Long story short, instead of thinking of my mother as a goddess, I started to see her for who she is. A manipulative, sad, lonely, single woman. I got angry, and cut contact for a couple of months, after she tried to blame me for smth she fucked up.

Earlier this week she asked me if I'm ever going to speak to her again. I said yes, and I'll stop by this weekend. Yesterday (Thursday) I had one too many drinks with my uncle, and the subject of my mother came up. I said what I felt, that she hit me as a child, the manipulations, and how they affect me today. That was obviously a mistake, and I should've just STFU. Today (Friday night) my cousin calls me saying that my mother invited him over, and now she's drunk, crying, and puking on the bed. She's obviously manipulating him to influence me. The problem is, that I'm thinking about it. I just can't not give a fuck.

So I have three options: 1. I just continue ignoring her. 2. I talk to her, and approach her like every other person in my life. I give her a set of deal breakers (for example "my mother will not be manipulating me, my wife, or others in my life. So either you stop doing that, or I don't have a mother, and you don't have a son"). 3. I just cut ties now. Block her ass and don't give a fuck about shit.

I'm personally leaning towards no. 2. Only because she's my mother. If it was anyone else, I'd pick option 3 a long time ago. Am I being an emotional bitch and retard now?
