Just finished WISNIFG, it really hit home for me, pointed out that I need serious work in being more verbally assertive. One issue came up in my head I was reading this.

In the book it talks a lot about negative assertion (e.g. "you're right, I did screw that up, I don't know what I was thinking"). While this feels like a very solid way to acknowledge/validate criticism but still maintain frame, the tone from many posts I read is to never show or admit weakness of any kind. This seems a bit of a conflict in my head.

Any have good insight on how negative assertion relations to the fundamental MRP teachings, and how they think about this?
