I've been trying to stay on the path of self improvement for several years now (Initially getting into it after reading the book called "The Game" by a very random turn of faith, and then getting into more of a personal development online community as opposed to the pickup community), and have explored many practical options such as reading books, meditation etc.

However, lately I've been reflecting on the fact that none of those "self improvement" activities have delivered benefits anywhere near close to level that lifting weights did, for me. I've been lifting way before I even got into personal development, and although I'm nowhere near the top 20% shape, it's been the only activity that has consistently managed to make me feel like I'm doing something worthwhile with my life. Physical improvements aside, it makes me feel good on a psychological level far more than anything else.

What would you say is your top activity (Or activities) that has delivered same or similar benefits/fulfillment in long term perspective?
