This is not me asking how to convert him to better ways, it could not possibly happen even if I tried. I am looking for advice on how to proceed.

Backstory: I'm a uni student, living in a house with 3 other male uni students. 2 of them I would consider some of the best friends I've ever had. No issues whatsoever with them. The third is a different story.

He's an extremely awkward and offputting bp virgin a couple years older than I. Its almost like he's stuck in the inexperienced middle school mentality of "be as nice as possible, never piss anyone off and maybe people will like me and I'll get laid". His personality can be summed up as a cringe camp counselor. Its irritating, but not the main issue.

The issue is that he follows me around like a lost puppy and he's begun to interfere with girls I bring home/talk to. I've kept the peace so far but I'm close to snapping. Here's some examples:

Was dancing with a girl at the bar, isolated myself and her from friends, and he comes up, stands 2 feet away, starts talking to us. She dismisses him, I don't respond. He just stands there until I get annoyed and move away with her.

Was out smoking, chatting up a group of 2. He wanders out of the bar over to us and sits next to me, says nothing. I went out to smoke to get away from him so I quickly tell the gals it was nice meeting them and head inside. Of course he follows.

Came home to sesh with 2 girls from the bar, we were chatting in my room with one of the good roommates. The door was closed. He drunkenly stumbles in sits on the bed with me and the girls, and just spews random bullshit nobody asked about. The girls were offput and the night ended within 20 mins of his uninvited arrival.

I can provide different examples if need be, but those give a good idea of the types of situations bothering me.

In the house, I keep to myself and talk to him only when the situation requires it. Otherwise, he'll walk up and spew random bullshit like "if you're wondering where (x object) is, its over there" or drone on with some uninteresting, unrelated story nobody asked about. I always respond with 'I know' or 'thanks' or 'cool'.

To be clear, I am not actively malicious towards him, I simply don't interact whenever possible. I've given him no indication I want to be friends.

The semester ends in 5 weeks and I won't have to see him again but its getting to the point where I want to be straight up and say we are not friends and I want to be left alone. It would cause a lot of awkwardness around the house and that isn't really stress I want to incur through exam season. Plus, I wouldn't put doing something drastic past him. He talks about how he's depressed etc. etc. I've dealt with that stuff as well, but those were my problems. I cannot be held responsible for dealing with his.

How should I proceed? My goal is to be left alone and deal with as few irritating situations as possible with regards to him.
