Depends on the woman really. When my wife and I go out with friends she becomes the "wingman" for the single guys. She's social and good at reading people so she points out which women they can get with with minimal effort.

Women are also more likely to join the group when another woman suggests it. She compliments their shoes, bag or whatever and before you know it they're like best friends and the women come sit at our table.

But, in my personal experience, they end up not doing a god damned thing to help you. They've ended up standing around doing nothing.

Their mere presence is a good thing if it's more than just the two of you in your group, as it might make targets feel more comfortable.

I had a female "wingman" that would literally send chicks over to my house. In my experience pre-selection is the most powerful tool a man has. Of course I benefited a lot more than your average guy in high school:

Me: "I need pussy."

Fatty: "I have a boyfriend!"

Me: "I know, send a friend over."

...30 minutes later:

Sloot: "Hey, Fatty said to text you, tee hee"

It was literally that easy for me because my reputation as a violent drug dealer set me up so awesomely in terms of preselection. I'm not bad looking either, but it was 90% pre-selection.

You can use this to reverse wingman herself. Basically, she'll help you at first then get jealous. Once she sees you demonstrating SMV, she'll want you so bad. If you play it right, the two of you will bang the first time you're supposed to "wingman" each other. This is one of the best scenarios. You can hit on other women freely while another follows you around.

Give it a shot. It can work because it makes the target more comfortable. I used to date this girl who was a pretty good wingman because she's sociable but above all, she understood women very well. My friends liked coming out with us because she could figure out another girl's act in a minute and decide if the target and my friend would be a good match. She'll introduce them to each other and we'll go off and do our own thing and leave them to jive.

Any real wingwoman must be totally comfortable grinding on you on the dance floor. She must be able to convey that you are a sexually desirable specimen to her, otherwise any girl she befriends will happily lump you in with the friend zone like she is. The more sexual you can be or have been with her the better.

Also, be prepared to show her how to open groups since she probably has little to no practice opening them herself, especially if she's hot.
