Swallowed TRP a little while ago, but this question has been brewing in my mind for years. Thanks to natural game and schools of thought like Double Your Dating and the Mystery Method, I've had quite a few relationships with hot chicks (and plenty of fuck buddy arrangements). I'm 31, an old hand at getting pussy.

BUT, I have never been able to sustain an LTR beyond 2 years. I know some guys here will just parrot "so what? Screw LTRs, single for life!" But that brings me to my question (which, again, is pre-TRP for me but has only become more relevant post-TRP)....

Is it possible to have a healthy, happy LTR as an alpha who keeps his power?

I do amazing in the short term. But once things go long term, I find things become stale. I know, I know, dread game. And yea, I've used it to garner stunning results. But that's also not what I mean:

I've had 2 LTR's in my life where we moved in together. Both were pre-LTR, but nevertheless, my instincts (reptile brain?) went haywire, screaming at me "No dude, you will lose all your mystery for her because she will know where you are, what you're doing, etc, and this will lead to her losing interest, making more demands/trying to tool me and, since I am a strong male who refuses to be made beta, eventually she will leave."

That is exactly what happened. Both times.

Couple my experience I just described with all the horror stories about marriage on TRP and you can, I hope, appreciate my sincere question. Throw in the natural hypergamy of women and the natural "Men In Love" syndrome (sidebar) and I'm beginning to wonder if a healthy, happy and successful LTR with the man remaining alpha is another pipe dream, similar to the Disney fantasies we all know about true love and finding a woman who will love us unconditionally just because we are who we are (again, sidebar material for readers who don't know what I'm referring to).

One last comment: the second LTR I mentioned just ended this past June when she moved out on me. But my point is I had already been asking myself this question before I met her, and now because of her I'm tempted to take it as confirmation of the question I'm posing here.
