Side effects.

[–]guifawkes10 points11 points12 points 9 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

The emotional side effects I experienced made me regret ever taking them. "If you do them right" is actually "If you're lucky enough to not get side effects" and anyone who tells you that you can pump an excessive amount of synthetic testosterone into your body "safely" is short sighted.

My aggression and rage made my romantic relationships so dramatic and not fun for anyone. I would cry on my way to the gym after shooting up and then get so angry as I parked and lift hard af.

My results were awesome but I had never before stuck to such a strict regime. I had invested a lot of money into it and so I had days that "don't waste your money" thinking helped me get to the gym when before I would have taken a day off. I also worked out harder than I ever have and I believe THAT was the most valuable thing along with proper nutrition.

The safe way would be to cultivate a harder workout ethic. Otherwise your results will not be sustainable and you'll have some nice photos on your phone from when you "used to lift everyday" (which in reality you probably were.)

[–]All_Ads_Deceive2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Sounds like you didn't use an AI. High T doesn't make you cry like a bitch, estrogen does. "Roid rage" also stems from high estrogen. You're like a gorilla PMSing

[–]guifawkes1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Then my AI was fake and I got ripped off....but I Def took something lol

[–]All_Ads_Deceive1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ya or maybe you just handle them differently. Mental sides like that would be a deal breaker for me. Mental health is #1 important thing IMO

[–]PreOrgasmGroanLness0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Did you test your E? If not... why blame

[–]guifawkes0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

E?

Even if it were tested it could still cause side effects. But I'd imagine that would cost a lot of money prob more than the whole "stack"?

[–]PreOrgasmGroanLness0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I mean estradiol (E2). That's what causes the sides usually.

I had low testosterone for some time. And with it, low estradiol. The combined effects were pretty bad emotionally. I was very sensitive. I suppose too high of E2 can be just as bad.

By the way, what dosage were you doing?

[–]guifawkes0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was on sust, 650 mg every 6 days.

[–]PreOrgasmGroanLness0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

My aggression and rage made my romantic relationships so dramatic and not fun for anyone.

care to elaborate?

[–]guifawkes4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not saying I was like the Tasmanian devil of emotion, but when things should normally roll off like water on a ducks feathers...they didn't. So I was def more critical of my gf at the time which made for a lot of fights most of which were self inflicted.

[–]Endorsed Contributorvandaalen12 points13 points14 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If done correctly, nothing except that many people will get kind of addicted to the progress they bring.

It also depends on the reasons. Are you low t naturally? Go get TRT prescribed by a doctor? Are you 27 and have you lifted for a reasonable amount of time and evolved beyond 5x5 and want to take it to the next level? Go for a cycle.

Are you a 19 year old who has done some curls two times a week for the last three months and eaten 1800cal and are pissed that you see no gains? Fix your diet and your routine and come back in two years.

[–]Ronin11A2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Are you a 19 year old who has done some curls two times a week for the last three months and eaten 1800cal and are pissed that you see no gains? Fix your diet and your routine and come back in two years.

I'd go so far as to say ten years. Seriously, if skinny curl-bros would actually run a real program and eat more than 2,000 kcal a day they'd suddenly start getting the results they actually wanted.

If you take steroids during your natural testosterone prime (18-21ish), you're a fucking moron. It's a completely different story for you hop on TRT at 30-35 when your test starts to decline naturally.

[–]inscnmya 1 points1 points1 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Please look at my post history. Acne, hair loss, gyno, mood swings, depression when you PCT, LVH.... So many side effects can't stop counting them.

Don't do it.

[–]A-Lamp 1 points1 points1 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You posted in r/dmt and stated you have tripped 30 times. I'm not sure you can blame the AAS on your depression

[–]1oldredder0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

dmt is fucking nothing

[–]inscnmya 1 points1 points1 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Lol I have done so much more but quitting steroids was the worst out of them all. Worst comedown, lasts 6+ months.

You clearly don't know anything about psychedelic drugs, if anything they make me less depressed and more loving

[–]apcaapprentice0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It's a drug. It's addictive, training will never be the same if you hop off, it's expensive and it's very bad for your health. And if you want kids in the future steroids aren't really helping you with that aswell.

Still, it's your choice, but I'd recommend considering taking it only after at least five years of training.

[–]Endorsed Contributorvandaalen0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

it's expensive

What?

[–]guifawkes2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yup. You add an AI (to keep your pecs from turning into boobs), post cycle therapy to get your nuts turned on again....yeah the little drugs to help with the side effects can add up and TEST alone can be hundreds of dollars, HGH can cost thousands.

[–]PreOrgasmGroanLness0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

blast

[–]apcaapprentice1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

lol thank you. Test is cheap as fuck and AI's aren't bad. stick to a vanilla C+B and its under a grandish a year.

[–]PreOrgasmGroanLness0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, UGLs are cheap and it's not that hard to find legit sources. NP

[–]DiggerClam0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You shouldn't need an AI for a TRT dose. Remember, TRT brings your T levels up to an OPTIMISED (in range) level. Not over it.

[–]1Terminal-Psychosis2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Everything in moderation.

[–]LordThunderbolt2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

The better question is WHY do steroids?

[–]GreenPiller1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Because it must be so hard for them to train naturally.

[–]LordThunderbolt1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Especially young dudes man. I dont understand how you can be on juice in your teens or 20s. Like, take some pride in your genetics and hard work first. Then when you reach the age when your test starts declining or whatever you can supplement with roids. That's how I see it. When I get in my late 40s or 50s I'll deff be on the sauce. But now? Nah

[–]All_Ads_Deceive0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

That's a good philosophy and I think it's a good strategy. But why wait to be a jacked 40 year old?

Being jacked in your 20s puts you on a whole different level. When you have the best physique at a vegas pool party of 1000 people, it's almost impossible to not fug an hb8+. Unless you're autistic or have the face of an inbred hill billy

[–]GreenPiller0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

So you can't be jacked in your 20's? I look decent with 1 year of training. Why would I fuck my shit up when I can train and pick up a cute girl on the way home? Dan Bilzerian has really fucked with your heads.

[–]LordThunderbolt0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Right? The kicker is that those dudes would be nothing without roids, and I mean NOTHING. When off the sauce they're weak, lethargic, small etc. I've seen it first hand. When I first started lifting I was 21-22 small and weak and saw a 21 year old guy shorter than me with just a little more muscle than me decline benching 315 for 3 reps. 2 years later I'm strong like a wild ox with great size gains and I see him in the gym looking like a holocaust survivor. He gave me some wishy washy answer about his loss of gains and I knew then and there he was on the sauce. There's also this 22 year old dude at my brother's friend's gym who likes to talk about the feeling he gets when he walks into the club and all the girls throw themselves at him. Then my brother's friend asks him what about when he's off the sauce, and the kid replies "he gets no girls off the sauce and he has no confidence". It's pathetic man.

See these gains I have now, nobody can take them from me.

[–]All_Ads_Deceive0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You can't be jacked naturally unless you're a genetic freak. And those guys become professional athletes and bodybuilders so they end up doing roids anyway.

I define jacked as big enough that your muscles bulge out of an XL tshirt and you have an 8 pack that looks like a rock wall.

[–]1oldredder0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You can't be jacked naturally unless you're a genetic freak.

and yet so many do in every single high school. It's not a freak it's just a minority. Most of it's discipline and most kids don't have any

[–]All_Ads_Deceive0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Are you referring to high school athletes who get D1 scholarships? They all do steroids.

[–]Ratroo0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

One year of training is just the start lol. Let us know after 5 years of consistency if you still feel the same way.

[–]GreenPiller0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You roid heads will say anything to defend steroids...

[–]LordThunderbolt0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's not about being "jacked" to me. I'm built like a college linebacker and I'm very strong. The idea of injecting unknown foreign substances into my body to change my physiology sounds insane to me. I have ZERO need for it and I take pride in my hard work and training in the gym. I'm not gonna do roids just to get HB8 sluts at pool parties. Because like Tony Stark said to Steeve Rogers in The Avengers "Everything special about you came out of a bottle", and it's true. Having to depend on it to be on top of the world (in a way) is too much of a crutch.

[–]All_Ads_Deceive0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Touché

[–]GreenPiller1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

To be honest, it seems like the easy way out. Luimarco is a natural and even though he may look small compared to others there is a sense of pride the radiates from him. And your peepee and balls shrink. At least that's what I've heard. https://youtu.be/PW2FEGLxKKU

[–]GunnarX1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Your penis does not shrink - that's a myth. Your testicles do, but come back with the proper HCG usage intra-cycle (optional for some) and PCT (post cycle therapy) following the cycle.

[–]SpinPlates0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I lifted for 5 years. Was 6'1 200lbs at 10% and bought my first test only cycle of Test E.

Had my Clomid and Armodiex. After it was all said in done I spent about $400 on everything.

When I got the test it was called "Nitro labs" made in Sydney. Did some googling and found thread after thread of Nitro labs a really being from Mexico and it was total bunk shit. Just serum with no test in it.

Sold the whole stack to my friend for $100 and told him it was fake. I think he flipped it again for about what I initially paid for it.

I was so disgusted with myself for buying fake shit and wasting money I just stopped caring about it. I'm so happy I didn't shoot that shit. No telling what was actually in it.

Now I'm in my late 20s, still lifting but not like the demon I was at 24. I'll probably run a cycle when I'm 35 and don't give a shit about the side effects anymore

[–]LordThunderbolt0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

When you say you're not like the demon you were when you were 24, what do you mean?

[–]SpinPlates0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I used to train like demon is what I meant. I literally had no hobbies outside the gym. Twice a day 6 days a week.

[–]LordThunderbolt0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

What type of training where you doing? What results did it yield?

[–]SpinPlates0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Okay at 18 years old and 300lbs I wondered into a gym.

By 20 I was 200lbs.

By 21 I was 185lbs 10%

By 24 I was 200lbs 10%

My training was lots of big compound movements. Lots of deadlift, squat, OHP and dumbbell bench.

Diet was IF and low carb. Full keto to go from 12% to 10%.

[–]LordThunderbolt0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah but how strong where you?

[–]SpinPlates0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Nothing impressive.

450 dead. 315 squat. 100s on dumbbell bench.

[–]LordThunderbolt0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah ok

[–]Imarobot20 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I just finished my first cycle of Test P. A simple beginner cycle. I was concerned with the sides but it turned out unwarranted with the proper precautions (e.g., benzoyl peroxide for the acne).

I got leaner and stronger on a moderate dose of Test P only. I am doing a second cycle after PCT and some time off. I don't regret it. Don't do them if you're under 25. Finish developing.

[–]All_Ads_Deceive0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nice. Props on being educated and responsible with your 1st cycle. If you stay smart you'll achieve great things with AAS. Even if you only do moderate dose test only cycles.

[–]guifawkes0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I began the AI because my nipples were starting to hurt and it took care of that so maybe I just reacted differently

[–]1oldredder0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

like completely fucked hormone system because of bad quality or not sticking precisely to your cycle?

[–]aurelius_shrugs 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you're below the age of 25, you already are effectively on steroids naturally. When you're 40, a chemical boost is a literal life saver. If you body build professionally, you will be blasting and cruising anyway.

Eat a lot. Lift in volume and heavy.

[–]nijns 1 points1 points1 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

trt + clean diet + lifting = better and healthier than steroids

[–]Endorsed Contributorvandaalen5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How are you going to do TRT without steroids?

[–]LordThunderbolt1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

TRT is teroids

[–]Cunt_Robber0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What is trt if you dont mind?

[–]Endorsed Contributorvandaalen5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Testosterone Replacement Therapy.

I am on it. My testicles produce testosterone only at the level of the average 80 year old on their own, so I inject testosterone enanthate in my glutes as prescribed by my doctor.

[–]Rhunta0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think testestoronw

[–]Kwantuum0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

TRT is testosterone replacement therapy, it's basically doing steroids legally with the approval and supervision of a doctor.

[–]fluviant -4 points-3 points-2 points 9 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Steroids = cheating = crutch.

Doing steroids is like paying prostitutes in order to get laid.

[–]meaningintragedy4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Doing steroids won't yield the same results are natural lifting faster, but it will yield superior results aesthetics wise. Just take a look at natural long-time lifters like Luimarco and Martin Berkhan. They're ripped as fuck, but they don't look as good as a steroids user and look feeble in low BF.

To answer OP's question: for a non competitive bodybuilder, it's not worth it.

[–]Endorsed Contributorvandaalen5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

What's wrong with either of those?

[–]fluviant -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Having to pay to fulfill your needs as opposed to fulfilling them on your own terms.

[–]Endorsed Contributorvandaalen8 points9 points10 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because pussy in general comes for free? Or because you cannot decide to just cut all the bullshit you go through in order just to get some pussy? Get it exactly at the time you want it, the way you want it? Not saying it's my way to go, but there are many very good reasons to go and take the service of a professional and many many many much more successful men than you and me do it.

Let aside that paying for something and getting it on your terms are not mutually exclusive.

[–]AwakenedSovereign2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Needing to pay for it and having the option of paying for it are very different stories. I get laid.. but have gone pro as well. It's quite fun

[–]1oldredder0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

everything is pay be it time, lifting effort, dollars, etc.

all equal.

[–]RSQ7 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Everything of value in life has a cost otherwise it wouldn't have any value. Whether that thing is achieving an strong masculine physique or sex with pretty girls, there's a cost in effort or time or money and some people find it's easier to pay more for one of those things in order to save on another.

[–]GreenPiller1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Are people really downvoting you? Is this Jersey Shore now?

[–]All_Ads_Deceive0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Steroids = cheating is no different than protein powder = cheating.

Humans rely on water, air etc to survive and thrive. We can't just rely on our "internal strength"

The most successful people on this planet have been mentally strong and used outside resources to increase their strength.

[–]1oldredder0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

meh, cheating is good

[–]inscnmya3 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Stop your blast/cruise and PCT and we'll see what the bullshit is.

I was 210 pounds (5'11") with 13% bf now I'm 180 with %17-18.

If you do test alone you will lose it. BUT....if you have the money, HGH can permanently add lean muscle.

Testosterone swells the muscle fibers and HGH increases your quantity of muscle fibers forever.

So my size is gone....but my cuts have remained "improved" we'll say but not anything like when I was on test.

Doesn't HGH also increase the size of your organs and forehead/chin? Or is that just on insanely high dosages?

It can with ultra high doses and prolonged use but I only did a year.

Only insanely high dosages. It's also not too expensive in moderate dosages

Yup. Cycling is just "renting" muscle. I don't get why people cycle and pct. I think when you choose the needle it's a lifelong commitment.

Blast and cruise 4 lyfe.
