Hey guys, UPDATE: We just broke up. She wouldnt budge and neither would I. She kept saying you're breaking my heart. Why are you doing this to me? Yet she was the one to initiate l this nonsense. Oh well time to lift and go monk.

So my LTR of 1 year wants to try being celibate for religious reasons. I know that you can't negotiate desire, so I said that we may need to break up. She got very upset and tried to say that, that means I don't love her. However she was the one with agency, I said that she brought up this idea, and I would not budge, and was not interested. Therefore if she wants to be with me, she will not bring this up again, because she has mentioned wanting to try this three times.

Somehow though, I don't think she is doing this because she isn't attracted to me. I think it's because she is trying to gain control somehow? I've been lifting since we dated and im getting pretty big, and i think she fears something? I think she may want me to jump through hoops to show her how much i love her? I don't know guys, I really like her, but i don't want her feeling like sex is A) a favor or B) something that can be negotiated, if we're together, im hitting it.

Any idea what this test means? Or what I should do? I said to sleep on it, and if she wants to be celebate when she wakes up we're done.
