Hello everyone, I have not used reddit beforehand, so I hope this will work out as supposed.

Just yesterday I had my LTR ask me to stop whilst having sex with her; She has done this a quite a few times beforehand, and I am not sure how to proceed when such situation happens (all other aspects of relationship are fine so far).

I have doubts that this is some sort of powerplay as of yet, since I enjoy rough sex and it takes somewhat long for me to finish (30-60 minutes), and I understand she might simply get tired out.

I usually either ignore her and continue, or go with "Oh, alright then" and start doing something else, trying to act nonchalantly (I do feel annoyed, since, well, stopping sex mid-way is no fun for me) This seems like a weak spot for me, and I can't find a solution.

Looking long term, is this something punishable, or something I should be neutral about? My line of thought:

Punishable - she doesn't ask to stop again mid-sex, although I assume this could lead to less enthusiasm for sex in general as she would try to evade any advances up-front in fear of not being able to change her mind mid-act.

Neutral - less resistance up-front, but she might start abusing the "I can't take it anymore card".

Am I overthinking this? What should one do when this comes up again?
