I've had a vasectomy. I had it at age 43. My wife can't spend enough time riding my cock now. She loves not having to worry about catching a silver bullet. So as for how it affects your sex life, I'll just say your mileage may vary.

That said, I wouldn't recommend vasectomy for any man unless he's sure he wants to be done making kids.

6 months of lawyer fees, paternity test, child support, and a woman who does everything in her power to make you hate life makes the vasectomy look like a real sweet deal. Where I live, it can be done for around $1,000 no insurance.

You won't have to worry about raw dogging your LTR. She'll quickly lose interest. Men I know who have had vasectomies thought the same thing you did--that they would be getting lots of sex with no pregnancy worries. Instead, they found that they had sex much less frequently. Women aren't attracted to sterile men.

I've had a vasectomy and it's totally worth it. Unplanned pregnancy is scary, especially considering the bias against fathers in Western countries regarding custody rights. 29 is old enough to have reflected for a decade or more on the path of parenthood and if you feel assured in your decision than go consult with a doctor and ask for a semen analysis first to check if you're sterile. Then research PVPS & post-vasectomy pain. One glaring issue about our community is the remarkably underfunded research regarding mild to chronic pain an alarming number of men report after surgery. PVPS particularly can be debilitating. There's a possibility after a vasectomy you may never experience pain-free orgasms again. Think about that. Checkout the vasectomy reddit for more information.

First off, Vasectomies can spontaneously reverse themselves, so get at least two tests. After two to six months there's about a 1% failure rate.

The only downside I see here is using that frozen sperm to eventually have kids will costs a couple grand for the procedure/tests but by the time I'm ready for that I'll have a career anyways so it shouldn't be too much trouble.

don't tell your girl. Girls don't like to fuck sterile men.
do tell the doctor you've got multiple kids with multiple women and don't want any more. They don't tend to want to perform the op on childless folk
do your research on getting the op reversed in the event that you decide you do want kids

OP, I had one done when I was 26. Never wanted kids and never wanted to have an accident and raise a kid I didn't want. You'll get some mixed responses here, but focus on what helps move you towards your goals in life. Peace of mind to pursue your life without an accident is priceless. Sounds like you'll have the $ to use the sperm you've saved. I say 100% go for it. Procedure and recovery weren't bad at all. Sex life is fantastic: either you get girls that are as happy they can have consequence-free sex as you are or you find girls that are also Child Free and glad you aren't trying to pressure them into starting a family.
