Everyone knows that if an accused man is cleared by the legal system, that just means he got away with it and that there are serious problems with the system. Today, the crime is being accused of rape. Rape isn't the crime. Being accused is. If we're not going to punish the accused 100 percent of the time for the crime of being accused, it's clear we still have a lot of work to do as a society.

If he's innocent, he's absolutely entitled to shame and publicly accuse this woman of defamation. It should be her punishment for a false rape accusation, so that no high-quality man will ever want to be in a relationship with her.

She might not face any legal consequences, but being known as a woman with a penchant for false rape allegations is equally devastating to her life.
