Here's the issue.

Most people don't make friends. They run into them during school days in grade school. They spend time with people on their sports teams and clubs by default, they join fraternities and have their social life handed to them on a silver platter. Friends happen to most people.

But what about a person who grew up homeschooled (self-taught) in a religious extremist family where they had zero friends, girlfriends, and social interaction for the entirety of their childhood and the majority of their teen years?

What about someone who started with no social prowess and has to build their social circle from the ground up?

This person is me, and while these things are not excuses, they are handicaps, serious disadvantages that have proven extremely difficult to overcome.

How the fuck?
