This is textbook manipulation and has been tried innumerable times before. She wants a MMF threesome, but knows you probably won't agree. So she proposes a MFF threesome. Then she has more leverage to later argue that you got a threesome with another girl, so she should get a threesome with another guy.

The fact that she instigates it, yet doesn't want a MFF threesome if you don't want a MMF threesome proves her intention. If she really honestly wanted to try MFF, then she would want it regardless.

She probably has someone specific in mind. You might as well dump her, because if her eye starts wandering after 6 months, then there is no point in continuing. Maybe, like another commenter suggest, "come round" to the idea of a MMF threesome, have the MFF threesome, then dump her.

From an evo-psych perspective, we never want other dudes around because that would put paternity into question--the woman knows the baby is hers; the man must have faith. So she's arguing from a false equality standpoint.

I've had threesomes (with my current LTR) and never had this issue. Part of it is we had a prior conversation about what our expectations were and I immediately said "No other men. Period." It's never been brought up or been an issue.

A couple of people have already pointed out that she probably has a male candidate in mind. As soon as I read your post, that's what came to mind. Why rock the boat so much over a hypothetical? Because she wants to have her cake and eat it too. I would be on high alert if I were you. Is she going to start going out with her girls for "a girls night?" Is she spending a lot of time with a male friend grabbing lunch & dinner? The moment her behavior changes drastically, you've probably lost the game and should move on.

The issue with MFF threesomes vs. MMF threesomes is it's way easier to organize the latter. If she wants to set one up every day she probably could. So while you'd be 'open' to both, it becomes a matter of what is available.

Her opening that door is going to be more like bursting it off the hinges, in reality.

Just to be clear, it's certainly possible you answered in such a way (or perceived as) that you indicated you were automatically closed to the idea of a MFM, while at the same time you expected her to be open to a FMF. And I'm not suggesting you did this, as there isn't enough detail in your post to say one way or the other. But as you are a witnessto it all, you can roll that possibility over in your head and decide yourself.

I'd lean towards all the other comments suggesting this was her way of "dangling" a possible future FMF (which will never happen) while trying to get you to agree to a MFM. At the least, you two can not communicate clearly without a fight. At worst, she's already discussed a MFM threesome with the other guy (you're the last one getting the invite). I'd say the threesome issue is the least of your problems.
