Do your research, learn about them and decide if it’s something you want to do. There’s risks to every choice we make. Just make sure you’re happy with the trade offs.

That being said, I do it for vanity reasons and I don’t give a fuck if some fairy on Reddit disagrees with it or agrees with it.

I like the results I’ve gotten so far, but you still have to put the work in, and it’s a lot of fucking work. And you’re going to be on for life.

on older men

As someone in my mid 30’s I’m tempted. I talked it over with my partner too, cause I was planning on sounding her brother out(he’s cycled).

My reason is I made solid gains in my teens and 20’s(160 up over 220) because I played rugby. These days training daily doesn’t change my physique as much. So it would solely be aesthetic. I’ll currently stick to natty. However definitely open to it over the next decade or two.

Not swaying either way on juicing. I get why people do it and I agree it's tempting. I work my arse off at the gym, have some OK muscle but just don't seem to be able to put much on at all anymore. I've been lifting for 10 years.

I got my testosterone checked as I have other symptoms and I'm quite low, especially for someone who eats as well as I have been and lifts hard 4 days a week. I saw an endo but they won't give me TRT unless I was mega low, which is absolute bullshit. In the US they give it at twice the natural rating (S12) as Australia (S6). I would have qualified most places in the world except Australia.

If you're getting the symptoms you should be treatable. I'm considering doing my own TRT and would be interested in knowing other people's opinions on it.

I have a big issue with doctors treating based off tests, not clinical symptoms. I was out for over 2 years with a misdiagnosed sports injury because all the doctors and physios treated my scans, not my symptoms. Got a guy that said the scans are rubbish and treated the symptoms. I was back running in a month.

As long as you're not competing and use them responsibly it should be fine.

If you’re not going to become a professional anything it is not worth it. Juicing just because you want to take the shortcut to building muscle is very soft in my opinion. Most who juice have low self esteem. No amount of hormones is going to fix the fact that you’re a pussy. That goes for most.

If we’re talking looks wise you can get plenty big and ripped enough naturally for women to drip. Don’t take shortcuts.

Roids are a no unless you’re going pro.

I'm on TRT. I stick a needle in my stomach twice a week. My T levels are about the same as a healthy 25yr old man(600-900 ng/dL). I don't know how it's possible but I'm blowing away the 25yr olds at the gym that aren't on gear and the guys on gear are like "yeah he's on gear".

FYI higher testosterone is not correlated with higher aggression. It's actually an antidepressant and makes you much calmer. Guys who overdo it and get high estrogen become irritable and aggressive. Roid rage is actually high estrogen. Think "psycho bitch"

I'll be honest with you: steroids become expensive when you throw in aromatase inhibitors, DHT inhibitors, growth hormone, labs, anti-balding shampoo, minoxidil, post-cycle therapy, extra food, etc. You need to do a total cost analysis to see if it's right for you. Rich Piana was pushing 8 meals/day as a competitive body builder maintaining 300lbs. He was also banging Chanel Jansen so that should tell you if it's worth it.

Unless u have god tier genetics you cannot look like a Greek god without steriods. If ur natural it’s gonna take over 4 years to even begin to look good which is fine but for a guy starting at 18 or older not taking steriods is stupid if u want to maximize smv.

I think it's stupid to get on it if you don't have a medical condition, or you're not making your body your actual job, or you're not an older man. If you're in your 40s and want to add some definition to your already good foundation, go for it. But young men have no business being on anabolics. Just hit the gym, eat right, and sleep well.

Firstly Side effects of any kind of steroids aren't a joke. Believe me. Also, fuck prednidone.

If you have a family history of heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure in your family tree, then understand the risks.

In that case be OK with the idea of dropping dead randomly in your 60s or stroking out and waking up in the hospital a completely different person who can barely talk. If you have those genetic factors. then taking T will accelerate damage, inflammation and fatty scar tissue accumulation in your arteries which generally starts at puberty. If you're worried about being in the best physical shape then take statins and eicosanoid fatty acids.

Secondly a rock solid frame can compensate for a multiple of sins, but there's absolutely zero pills or injectiions that will give you s frame.

Consider for a second and ask yourself, if you're depending on juice to like your body more and feel positively about yourself, is that frame? Juicing will make gaining and keeping muscle less difficult. That's about it. Nothing else. Can improve mood for some people, but makes stress problems worse for others.

Thirdly you can't simply stop once you commit. You have to titrate down slowly over about a month otherwise you can get pretty sick. Not likely to be life threatening.

Sounds to me like it qualifies under the category of playing stupid games in order to win fucked up prizes.

I’ve competed both naturally and on gear. My personal opinion is that if you’re not competing and making a living off it, it’s kinda pointless to do the big stacked cycles. If you have the funds sure but it really does seem like a waste of money.

I think if you wanna just take a little test and call it a day then great. It does help with mood and energy levels, recovery and gym intensity. And of course physique.

But you need to stay on top of bloodwork, checking your lipids, monitoring your blood pressure, etc. juice comes with risks, but you can be smart about it and learn to mitigate them.

I came off just simply because I’m fine how I look without it, I travel so much that sticking to a consistent injection schedule can be troublesome, and I didn’t want to have to rely on something the rest of my life.

Also coming off a big cycle lead to some of the most serious depressive episodes in my life. Legit almost blew my brains out. That didn’t happen with a simple test cycle but just that one experience kinda enlightened me to the power hormones have and fucking with them can lead to some consequences.

Taking steroids is not "cheating" and it's nothing to be ashamed of. The only people you will be upsetting are losers. That being said, you have to be aware of the dangers of taking anabolics as you are messing with the natural order of your body. This is the main reason I personally don't take it. And on top of that, I feel like at a certain point of muscle gain you end up impressing more guys than you do girls.
