Monk mode is basically just forsaking socializing to work on fitness, fashion, psychological and work related goals. However social is just as important. You need to realize for most of the people here "monk mode" really means "hide from the world so I can continue pretending I am improving, rather than just remaining the same" mode.

Monk mode is for when you have a huge project at work, which will jack your professional standing, getting ready to take your medical licensing boards, finishing the book that the publisher is waiting to put out for you, etc.

Going "monk mode" because of any reason less than that and you are just pretending at the whole thing.

So, in short, unless you are prepping to pass the bar exam or something, get the hell out of monk mode and quit pretending you need to be in monk mode.

You can put an end to monk mode whenever you feel you are ready. Don't be afraid of placing a little bit of your focus on girls. Sure, you might slip back into your beta ways here and there, but that's the beauty of swallowing the pill. Swallowing the pill is a lifelong process, and while you might feel your beta tendencies coming to light, at least now you're aware of them, that's progress.

All I'm saying is, do whatever the FUCK you want.

Honestly? You're ready when women start coming up to you/inviting you out to events.

Thats when you know your smv is getting there and all you have left to work on is your game.

I used to think women wouldnt do that but It's only when you hang out with extremely attractive guy friends that you notice women are not shy

The ideal is to be a monk until some lady you deem worthy drags you out of it, but if you're a mess that'll never happen. There is no defined limit, just be a monk long enough for you to get your head somewhat back on straight, and then move out into the ocean again.

When to exit monk mode?

Sometimes the answer to a question is in looking at the question itself.

Why do you want to know "when"? Are you looking for permission from TRP? Safety? Protection from / a low risk of rejection? A lack of confidence in your own decisions?

You can tackle that fear of rejection now, while your failure rate is still high. Later on, it'll morph into fear of damaging your ego. "I'm attractive now, I better not approach, because that could prove it all wrong." The overcoming of this fear is part of "monk mode".

In fact there is no "exit" to monk mode, the "goal" of monk mode is to stop looking toward external sources of validation and happiness. Then, life is just a continuous stream of doing whatever the fuck you want. When you crave social interaction you go do it, when you don't you don't.
