Been doing a lot of research on frame control as I've never quite understood it. I get the idea just can't seem to fully wrap my head around it. But I do think I've got it now.

In Oren klaffs book pitch anything he talks about frames. And it's a good example.

What I'm wondering is if anyone would agree there's 2 types of frames. Your surface level frames and underlying deeper overall meaning of the interaction frame.

For example. You approach a hot girl trying to win her attention. The underlying frame here is a prize frame in her favour. As you talk and banter she may say the music sucks but you say noo this is good I love this song. (More surface level frame).

Ideally you want to change that underlying prize frame into yours though and by holding the right surface level frames you can do it. Would anyone agree with this approach?

Another example could be your going into the interview and the the underlying dynamic is that it's a prize frame in their favour. Ideally you want to set your own prize frame by prizing yourself to change the bigger underlying frame. As you do this they offer you the job but you say you really want a company van. They say no we can't do that yet we need to see how it goes first (surface level frame)

Alternatively could you say you are just reframing surface level frame to match your underlying frame you want to change.
