tl;dr at the bottom of the post, btw.

Alright Seddit, you know how it is these days, you send a text and have to wait and wait and wait for a girl to text you back. You've sent the right thing, you made it alpha, funny, or told her you want to meet her for drinks, whichever it may be. Then, as you're waiting, the anxiety creeps in and you start to wonder why they haven't texted you back.

How do you take this? Do you just brush it off that they are busy? Does the Brad Pitt rule apply here, where if you were Brad Pitt, would she text you back?

I know the root of my issue is an insecurity that I have not fully accepted, I always fear that if only I had said something different it would be better.

After sending a message, I've tried sitting quietly and breathing deeply. Then, when I start feeling insecurity and anxiety I recognize it for what it is and just be aware of it. This helps somewhat, but I still feel my frame of mind is off about this.

I know it sounds wierd in these days, but I'd so much rather pick up my phone and call a girl and ask her out, but apparantly that is a massive turn off for some people and too confrontational. I'm impatient and want to know now! Plus no room for flaking mid-conversation. Seriously, who does that? No one worth my time, that's who.

tl;dr How do you overcome anxiety waiting for a girl to text you bacK?
