If you want to go the natural route then the focus should be developing sub-communcation skills instead of routines. Here are some of the ways I've worked on this so far:

The most obvious would have to be eye contact. This shows that you're comfortable with the situation and yourself. Just don't overanalyze it and realize that there are appropriate times to look away lol.

Another is slow, controlled body movements. Again this shows comfort in the situation as you are not in a rush. If someone calls your name you don't snap to attention, you finish your task at hand then gradually face them. If someone asks you to pass them an item, you don't drop everything to get it to them ASAP, you do it at your convenience. Of course there is a limit to this as you don't want to come across as a sloth 😂

The third is slow, controlled speech. This shows comfort in the situation (notice a pattern here 😏) as you feel entitled to take up space in the conversation. Pauses are a good way to do this as it shows you are worthy of holding attention even if you aren't saying anything.

The fourth is not qualifying. When you qualify it shows that the person you are interacting with is of higher status than you. This situation arises most when someone insults you. One way of dealing with this is to just say "that was funny, you're cool". By dictating what's cool you maintain the highest status position.

The fifth is taking up physical space. This could be thought of as literally marking your territory. This doesn't mean you need to sprawl yourself out all the time. More subtle displays such as feet shoulder width apart or arms not hugging right up against your body go a long way.

The sixth is vocal dynamics. Speaking in the same monotone voice all the time shows you are constrained and too caught up in what other people think to express yourself properly. Doing impressions when you make a particular statement or making sound effects while telling a story are good ways to experiment with this.

The seventh is the way you dress. I don't think it's important to wear expensive clothes or get a fancy haircut, you just need to be well put together. This shows that you respect yourself enough to not look like a slob and want to be interpreted as a respectable person.

The eighth is not being stuck in your head. If you want to say something you should say it (barring some specific circumstances). Not being stuck in your head shows that you expect people will enjoy your ideas and that they likely have been in the past. This can also create interesting results when you say something kinda messed up and it polarizes the group.

The ninth is being positive. This doesn't mean you need to be some happy-go-lucky delusional guy, just that you tend to look at the beneficial side of a situation than the negative. In evolutionary terms this would be the guy who figures a way out of a difficult situation when everyone else is too busy worrying about how screwed they are.

The tenth is having strong boundaries. You should never let someone bypass the limits you have set as being unacceptable. In evolutionary terms this could be thought of as the guy who makes sure he gets his fair share of the meat and doesn't let other people push him around.
