No, I'd say you don't need it.

Online dating is way more in favour of women as they have an abundance of choice. Watch out for where the girl is using you to pass time when she's bored or to build her ego and IG following.

If she asks maybe be like you don't use it anymore. And if you do have an account make sure it's on point, post quality is consistently high. In my experience it doesn't even need to be that often, say once a month. I feel like the people with those insane IG accounts either have nothing else to do or go out of their way to get a good photo (e.g. driving to somewhere purely for a picture).

Just remember you don't want to get bogged down on online, it's all about working it in person where the dynamic is more even. They are in power so if you show too much, you're giving them more ammo to turn you down. So unless you happen to be Zac Efron, the more time they have to pick apart every picture on your IG, the more it can work against you.

All these social media platforms are just tools. And all of them are secondary to, and merely complementary to, in person interactions.

With regards to IG specifically, it's too much about making things look superficially good and if you get too caught up in it, stupid things happen.

At least FB doubles as a way to text or call someone, giving it more practical applications.

No. Instagram is about nothing but shameless "look how cool my lifestyle is" self promotion. In order to effectively use Instagram for game (or even just self-promotion, advertising, whatever), you need to have A LOT of really interesting shit to post on a regular basis. If you don't have sun-kissed 6 pack abs and your day-to-day life doesn't involve sailing around the Caribbean with girls in bikinis, DJing at EDM festivals, or you dead-lifting 405 lbs., your Instagram could actively work AGAINST you rather than for you. And chances are that if any of these things apply to you, you are probably already getting laid plenty without the use of Instagram.

If you choose to have an Instagram and you are not a fitness model or a multimillionaire playboy, keep it private for just you and your friends. Using a mundane Instagram will actually hurt you.
