Any tips for dance floor game?

Make eye contact with the target with whom you want to dance. Walk slowly and purposefully towards her. When you reach her lead her silently by the waist or hand onto the floor and begin dancing. If your target is already on the floor simply lead her one or two steps further along the dance surface to create the impression of isolation.

DO NOT ASK a girl if she wants to dance unless you are at a wedding or formal event. Women at the disco want to be swept off their feet by an alpha not pirouetted by Fred Astaire.

If your target is not interested she will pull away before you can lead her away, or she will dismiss herself from the floor after your song ends. DO NOT REACT if either of these things occur. Carry-on as if nothing has happened so that your "social proof" doesn't take a hit.

Once you begin dancing you'll know if your target is enjoying herself if she brings her body in close to yours or "grinds" you. Let your hands roam about her back and waist. If she enjoys the initial kino, let your hands sink to the top of her buttocks. You'll likely meet resistance at this point. DO NOT FREAK OUT or APOLOGIZE. Just raise your hands north of her belt line and proceed as if nothing has happened. If your target doesn't object to you touching her buttocks you're in luck: all subsequent kino escalation should be easy.

After a few moments of light kino bring your face close to hers; let your cheek or lips brush against hers. If she does not pull away kiss her gently on the cheek and lips. She may pull away when you do this. DO NOT FREAK OUT or APOLOGIZE. Pull your face away and continue dancing and rubbing her back and waist.

When your song (or songs) end lead your target off the dance floor to a quiet, private area. Continue to kino with your hands. Bring your face in close to hers again. Brush your cheek and lips against hers. Try to kiss her gently again--she may prove more accommodating now that you have some privacy.

Continue to escalate gently with your target. Now that you're off the floor standard PUA operating procedures are in effect. Happy hunting.

When it comes to getting women interested in me on the dance floor I've developed what I think is some pretty tight game. When I am out with my friends we always get lots of IOIs. I used to look really nervous, awkward and uncomfortable on the dance floor but then I went clubbing with a friend of mine who is the most confident, outgoing and fun guy you will ever see on the dance floor. He has some absolutely ridiculous dance moves and makes all kinds of silly faces but guess what? The ladies love it. So here is my advice to you all: Stop trying to look cool and just have fun Some tips to help you out on your path to deliberately not looking cool (I'm serious):

Don't be a try hard People are far too worried about being cool and sexy on the dance floor and it shows. There is no better way to DLV than by trying too hard to DHV. You'll never dance like JT or Usher so stop trying to.
Learn to love dancing "I'm not drunk enough to dance" - Don't ever think that. A couple of drinks to chill you out a bit is just fine but you shouldn't use it as a crutch. I'm always listening to dance music in my flat and I'm always dancing about like an idiot. Whenever you get the chance - listen to dance music and just start dancing. It's not about learning moves or routines it's about having fun and getting familiar with the songs.
Dance like nobody is watching Silly, cheesy dance moves like rolling the dice etc. are your new best friends. If you see someone in a club doing something stupid like the sprinkler, the shopping trolley etc. then make a mental note of it and next time you are out do that move.
Fake it 'til you make it Confidence is attractive. You don't need to be a good dancer you just need to do whatever it is you are doing with a smile on your face that screams "I don't take myself too seriously."
Refer to the lyrics Make cheesy references to the lyrics of the song - make a phone gesture, point to your heart, point to yourself, point to other people, shake your finger do whatever. This is where it really helps to know the music well.
Attack the space Don't grind on random groups of girls from behind. Don't even go and dance near them. Instead whenever you see a nice space open up on the dance floor you and your friends should move there and make it your own. This makes it look like you are more interested in fun than picking up women. Result!
Early Bird catches the Worm Don't think "oh crap it's dead in here" when you get to a club early and the dance floor is dead. Your reaction should be "**** yeah" look at all that space. Don't get there when it is completely dead but you want to own the dance floor and be the guy who people are pointing at and laughing. When you start seeing groups of girls say "hahaha look at that guy, amazing" you know you are doing something right. You are fun, you don't give a crap what people think and you are there to have a good time.
Ignore! Ignore! Ignore! If you and your friends are doing it right you should be surrounded by groups of girls. Don't be too quick to acknowledge their existence. Just play it cool and take your time. The odd cheeky glance over in their direction is good. Staring right past them and just enjoying your dancing is even better. Just pick your moment and then every so often turn around a bit and gradually start dancing with them.

I realise I probably haven't explained all this very well but I'll write some more stuff about this later. If anyone has any questions about all this fire away and I'll make sure I cover it in the next post. The best thing about having good dance game is that women will give you IOIs with out you ever having to approach them.

Last time I was busting a move on the dance floor I approached a group of girls with a buddy, casually, not directly and started making eye contact with some of the ladies in that group. After a short amount of time I faced them and was just smiling and having a good time by dancing a little ridiculous. For me having a friend on the dance floor is key because you always have someone to have fun with while boosting each other’s energy, self-esteem, social value etc...Some things that work for me:

1) Be silly on the dance floor and genuinely have a good time

2) Make comments about other peoples/friends dancing, such as "I love this guy!" (while pointing at someone who was being more ridiculous than myself) or "You need to take some lessons from him!" or tease her by saying "You got skills kid, but you're going to have to practice up if you want to dance with this crowd." All said while initiating some light kino.

3) Challenge them to a dance battle or ask them to do their favourite move.

4) Put out your hand and when they grab it, give them a spin.

5) Push pull. Dance close then give some space.

6) Have sex.

Honestly just HAVE FUN! If you feel awkward, you'll look awkward and therefore act awkward.

Most people I've seen on this reddit recommend either not playing the dance floor game, or working silent game on the dance floor.

If you come upon a girl with a huge friend shield up, dont bother.

If you are a very good dancer, tone it down a bit. Ladies like a good dancer, but not one that is going to make them look like a shit dancer if you know what I mean. I have this problem :-(

Don't try talking at all, beyond maybe saying "hey." Walk right up to the girl and start dancing. Most girls will be completely fine with it- if they're not fine with it, maybe say a few words, tease her, and try to leave with a smile (or stay and dance if you can make it happen). Then walk right up to someone else. They're there to dance, so you're not weird for wanting to dance with them. You're not a creeper, right? So don't have that mindset- just dance.

Does anyone know any instructional video/sites that teaches a guy how to dance on the dance floor? Nothing fancy, but maybe some standard moves?

Check out TofuTofu's PPP for a pretty advanced technique. If you're new to the community, you might want to start your game off the dance floor - at the bar for instance - then move onto the dance floor in escalation or isolation.

One thing that works for me is to find the girl, come at her at about 45 degrees and say 'let me see your hand'. most people aren't wielded out by this, and if they give you your hand you give them a twirl, and she will most likely go for it.

If shes into you, she'll swirl dat ass right in and start grinding. If that doesnt happen, just have fun, do some oldass dances and have fun with her, go for the grinding second.

The best tip I have for dance floor game:

Go with a group of at least half girls (maybe 5-10 people in the group), and just be totally into the music/your dancing with your friends. Be silly, get your friends to have a good time, etc.

Start looking around, smile at girls, if they smile back, ask them to dance. You don't even need to say anything, body language is usually enough. I guarantee there will be some who have been watching you having fun already, and There's no way girls will be creeped out.
