Can be seen here. Requested to be posted as a post and sticked perhaps. I don't know if it's that good haha :).

This is for those who are literally on level one. Actually before level one, they're actually too afraid to turn on the frickin' console because they'll fear it'll break.

I was like you guys one time. Extremely intimidated in all situations. This was primarily between Sophomore and Senior year. I couldn't get girls and my group of friends were only related by our love of video games. I was content jerking off, fantasizing, down talking about how those sluts never would bang us, loath in my asian-ness, and playing video games. Although I was content, I longed for more. Just like you, you long for more for a feeling that may seem as foreign and as weird to me. If you become too much as I just described you become introverted. If you accept it, you will live a life of content seclusion; if you growing constantly longing, grow bitter, you will have malice in your heart and hate (my counter-part friend is one example: he is so bitter at everyone and believes everyone else is stupid and everyone just appreciate his genius). Let this be a pre-caution, warning of what could be and hopefully I will guide you in the right direction. These are not rules, but simple observations.

  • That feeling. The tingling, butterflies. It occurs in every situation. To combat this you try to numb yourself mentally. You forge an external shell of not "I don't give a fuck," but the wrong idea of "I don't care about anything at all." Those are too separate entities: one shows boldness and can be linked to confidence and another is either acting out in attention or exclusion and isolation. Imagine these two points on a spectrum and everything in between can categorize the social behaviors of people around the world.

  • Doubt, anxiety, fear, and excuse. These are your enemy. Do not accept them. There is skepticism, but there is also irrational fear. You must fight it; it may seem at times reasonable, but in reality it isn't. Your goal is 1. Make friends. 2. Become socially successful. 3. Inevitably slay some skanks. These fears are what breeds that feeling of unbelonging at times and stops you from your goal of being an improved man. If you fall into your habits of thoughts, realize where your thoughts will lead if you continue to do so. Do not accept it. Refuse to accept it. You are a slave to these slavemasters, you do not choose to run away because you do not know any better. It is what's comfortably uncomfortable. You don't know life outside of it perhaps? But in-fact you do. You've watched movies with seducers and womanizers or in my analogy watch the free-men live their lives. Those are only mildly exaggerated, but it's real. It's possible, you can and have the tools to make that happen (a.k.a a penis).

  • That is why I say resist. Resist it, be out there. I do not mean be annoying and call on attention. 1. The most important thing that makes anyone socially great is confidence and confidence is many things; being an annoying attention whore isn't confidence. 2. Stay positive. Good vibes, always be in a good mood. The worst people you know are the kinds that are negative and put people down while the best people are those who are positive and have upbeat proactive spirits. 3. Be positive from every experience. There isn't a single negative experience out there. I know what you're thinking, "What if my mom died?" or "I get embarassed in a group of girls." Those aren't negative experience. Only ass-rape leading to anal hemorrhage is a negative experience. You will learn from all your experiences and grab lessons. My mother passed away; it was the worst experience and through me into an anti-social anti-life depression, but I grew out of it stronger than ever. So if you have anxiety constantly analyzing your social situations with a pessimistic negative attitude: Stop! Do it positively.

  • Read How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. It teaches you to smile and overall be socially successful. One of the best books I've ever read. READ THIS BOOK. Do not speed read it. Absorb it and let it adhere to your values. It makes a ton of sense. If you still don't agree with what the book says, (because you might be an inherently malevolent villain, hey I don't discriminate) rephrase the book into socially acceptable ways of social manipulation.

  • It's not about you. It's about others. Learn to care. Don't be bitter and disdained by your own problems. My friend who's the polar opposite of me now is someone who constantly tells me, "Haha, I don't fucking know. I just don't give a fuck about anyone anymore like I just don't care." yet he is constantly complaining about how he can't get a job or it's hard for him to deal with his parents (who in my opinion are reasonable, but from my end it's 100% of the time his fault. Really is). Think about talking to someone random like the ticket guy or cashier as a quest and at the end instead of getting gold you get a good feeling. Go up to them make eye contact and smile and say, "Hi, how you doing?" Hear their short story and feel good. If they are sad and depressed or unresponsive, that's their fault. You continue to be in a good mood because you know your a good person for wanting to hear their story, being polite, and having the drive to find something interesting in this increasingly mechanical world.

It will take probably a week to a month depending on your exposure and learning curve. Fight the feeling. You control yourself, your actions, your emotions. It may sound unreasonable to say, "Well I can't just tell myself I'm awesome. I need a measure to hold myself too and that's society." Bullshit, fantasy coupled with reason creates the marvels of our worlds and without it (fear, doubt, anxiety) it gives birth to monsters. So if you fantasize about being a social, sexy (even if you're butt ugly), and happy, you'll get there. If you try to think happy, but the little voice in the back that's always been there like a second head attached to your neck is going off; you're not doing it right. Try to mute that voice completely. Like Buddha and dozens of great thinkers said, you are what you think. Think like this. Think happy.
