Hi Seddit,

I'm a 22 year old student with Asperger syndrome (autism) and I need some advise.

I'll tell you a bit about myself: I've been diagnosed with Asperger five or six years ago. I've had huge problems before, mainly with social skills and with depression (this is still and will always be a huge obstacle in my life. I have this fully under control, but I need to take a lot of measures not to let it out of control). Since the diagnosis, I've grown tremendously. My social skills are now seemingly on the same level as the people around me. Seemingly, because I work my ass off every day to socialize normally. I can do this for regular conversations only. So no flirting, selling or other form of "advanced" conversation. I'm not unattractive (6.5/7) and I have mainly outgoing friend (I rarely go out, I like daytime better). Active in sports, reading, movies, etc. Normal dude.

The biggest problem I'm now facing with seduction is that I am not able to read what people think of me or the situation. Of course this is always difficult, but I'm like that stereotype autistic kid that doesn't shut up about trains. I have a hard time reading peoples reactions and an even harder time interpreting them. I literally have no idea if a person really likes me or finds me extremely creepy.

I'm working on this problem, but it takes time and there is only so much I can do. So my question is mainly, what can I do to find out if a girl is remotely interested?

Keep in mind that an aggressive attitude will not work because that asks for judgement on social rules. I know social rules only "by the book" and I can't wing it. I'm not looking to hook up with several girls a month or anything. It would help if the advise is socially acceptable to the general public (no kissing a girl you just met an hour ago on the street while her parents are there kind of fun).

(will be back in a few hours, first work)
