Be yourself is the WORST advice anyone can give a man. Let me explain what they should say...

Be yourself in that, be true to your values and beliefs: you believe in being nice, great... Be nice because you want to be nice, but don't accept someone treating you bad. That is not who you are. If you forgive the bad behavior you are not being true to yourself. Call people on their bad behavior and, this is the key, don't care about the outcome.

That is the way you be yourself and increase attraction. Do you think a "bad boy" would care one second if they had to get rid of someone who wasn't treating them the way they want.

Id say be yourself in not putting on a mask or trying to be someone you are not. Be yourself when it comes to topics that interest you and the way you act. But be a bit more selective what you show when. Learn to be comfortable in your own skin by putting yourself out of your comfort zone, that is if you are looking for a connection and something real.

If you're looking for sex then play her like a puppet... If your conscience is clean with doing so

There's a decent book on the topic called "No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Dr. Robert Glover.

I't interesting because you will feel more "yourself" when you get used to being more unfiltered and unapologetic and not trying to be overly agreeable.

If you're getting no results with that volume there's definitely something wrong with your approach but props for putting in the work

If being yourself is a “nice guy” then you’re not actually being yourself.

You didn’t come out the womb being mr nice guy. You likely screamed, cried and kicked until someone gave you comfort for being spawned into this bright a$$ room.

So drop the bs act and talk to them like they’re human. Thats part of what the “asshole” does. Yet, the asshole turns good women off. Dont be the asshole.

Unlearn that nice guy and “need to be a dbag” bs and learn to be you. The you before someone came along and told you it wasn’t Ok. The real unapologetic you. Now pair that with external success and the right people will ALWAYS come.

Being yourself is about being authentic, about being true to yourself. You haven’t actually been yourself even if you think you have, and that’s the problem.

Being yourself doesn’t mean you have to be kind or respectful or be a toxic or an asshole.

If you are an asshole then being yourself means that you stay an asshole regardless of whether she likes it or not, if you are kind naturally that means you stay kind whether she likes it or not.

If you are not defined by either of those tags (kind or asshole) then don’t even try to be either of those things in the first place, and stick to embodying the traits that define you and own them no matter what she says doubling down always on it.

The moment you try to be what you think she prefers you stop being yourself and you begin to behave like one of those fake politically correct politicians that say what they are supposed to say but everyone knows they are fake so no one truly trusts them.

Being yourself is about being authentic, and being authentic sometimes mean you cannot be kind and respectful, if that’s not truly you because it will come off as fake and approval seeking, like you expect a reward from it which will be obvious to others.

Much like being authentic is not about being an asshole or a douche if that’s not you, because it will also come off as fake and try-hard, masking insecurity with toxicity which everyone will feel too.

There is nothing more cringe than a guy who isn’t an asshole trying to be one, because you can see he is being weird, and socially uncalibrated, as if he wants attention.

He starts doing weird shit for attention, thinking he is just so cool, but everyone just cringes and think what the fuck is wrong with him, and that’s when the asshole facade crumbles because you cannot even handle the pressure like a real asshole would because you don’t really know how since only an authentic asshole can own that role and still somehow make it work to be charming.

It’s like trying to act and talk like donald trump, without being donald trump, you simply become a parody and everyone cringes, including trump supporters.
