Not if you're blatantly getting shot down and or being obvious. The keyword here is to socialize. You're out to make friends. If girls see you talking to other girls they'll be like "oh he probably isn't an axe murderer" or something like that.

Be smooth, suave, and funny. Navigate the social groups like the Spanish Armada on its way to plunder the booty. If you do your job right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all. Or something like that.

I agree with the socialize part. Look like your having fun and people will be drawn towards you.

From the outside perspective, to the untrained eye it looks like you know the girl if you're halfway decent. Bar rats just want to have fun so the only people who will notice you are too busy having fun or zonked on club drugs to care.

Remember that old idea that everyone is too busy worrying about themselves to criticize others.

You probably haven't approached enough to see this in action yet, but try hitting on girls who blew you out earlier in the night when you're more in your groove. They're usually down.

What will more likely happen is that girls will get jealous if they do notice.

Also, bouncing from girl to girl is a great skill to have when you do solo nights.
