I’m in college and I have no problem starting a convo with a girl in one of my classes/lectures. Sometimes, I’ll sit at a table where I see a cute girl sitting alone and start talking. But man, is the cold shoulder response super common? This has happened a few times where I’ll talk to a girl in class, she’ll seem somewhat talkative but responsive nonetheless. However, I try to talk to them outside of class later on, seeing them on campus, and I get no response. They will not even look up from their phone to give me their one word answer. I’m smart enough to literally say nothing and walk away after I start getting those responses. I’d just like to have an engaging conversation with a girl I found attractive who wasn’t glued to a black mirror.
Or is this how most are? Should I be expecting 90% of the time to get a unresponsive girl who doesn’t look up from her phone? If this type of behavior is to be very expected, I’ll keep approaching. I really wanted to know if I’m doing something wrong and this behavior abnormal in approaches.
