I’d say in the past couple of months, I’ve been a bit more social. Now being aware that nobody cares what you do has made me less-self conscious and a lot more open to starting conversations. On many occasions I’ll talk to guy classmates or smile at a cute girl walking by on my way to class. Being heavily involved in fitness and nutrition for the past several years has helped as well.

However, I still cannot do a college approach to girls I find extremely attractive. For some reason, I see them as unattainable and off limits since I know they’re in high demand. Jerking off to porn is probably the root of these thoughts and I can’t break the habit of doing it everyday. It’s bad, since I’ve been bulking and consuming a high calorie diet, I crank it about 5-6 times a day... in college. I wish I could remove that activity and replace it with me talking to girls I’m interested in. Perspective on breaking habits that you learned since you were in middle school?

Edit: wow thanks for the replies everyone! Definitely some good insight here. Just a bit more background: I never learned how to talk to women or gain the confidence to approach ones I was interested in. I’m 22 now and since I was 14-15, I’ve used porn in place of talking to girls I like. Having no friends or social skills at college is also a contributing factor to my failures here.
