It's that when being aware of do's and do-nots what comes to dating, I have somehow got the perception that girl is allowed to act needy, clingy, overtly-emotionally invested to the guy in self-apparent ways, where-as guy showing any form of emotional reactivity, being interested of the girl any bit more than the girl is, or such and one is ditched out without a question.

I understand that there are differences between the genders, of what is seen as ideal behaviour. Guys are naturally expected to be unreactive, where as girls are allowed in wider emotional spectrum, being more follower-like and such are given less expectations in general, and still being close to the ideal what comes to feminine polarity.

Still, this double standard kind of bugs me and brings me down. How could I frame this in a positive, realistic light? What is the truth about it in the first place? How do I not give a fuck about this?
