You are correct. Society deems certain jobs as low value. This isn't fair and is often a result of circumstances out of your control.

Good thing is you can work towards a higher value position and income. Also previous advice, don't shit where you sleep. I work as a manager in a corporate banking office with dozens of high powered women. It is the last place I want to be fucking women. You don't want it going around the workplace. Btw, I started at KFC as a cook and then was a window cleaner. I've been there my dude. Low value jobs suck. So shoot your shit outside work.

Ive made a career in facilities work ranging from janitor/custodian, maintenance tech/building engineer and now back to custodial supervisor. Their definitely is a stigma related to janitorial/custodial work. Women seemed so much more interested when I told them I was a maintenance tech / handyman vs a janitor. I don't even use the word custodian/janitor anymore due to women having this weird view of the work.

I once was with a woman at the airport and she just started ripping on a janitor about how bad his life must be to have to do that kind of work and I just looked at her like "wtf is your issue?!?!"

Their has been a few times that when they have found out I work in custodial I've asked them if they have ever heard the story about the rich janitor that just does the job to be around more people. That seems to get them all sorts of wet in the panties over the monetary idea.

I guess it is a standard thing that janitor seems like a job for someone that can't manage to get some more profitable and interesting job. Low salary, no career path, doing things that other people are just too lazy/don't want to do. It's not very much suitable to fantasize about or boast about to her friends. As it comes to sexuality, girls are very much straightforward, shallow and indecent deep down there.
