I currently work as a janitor at a state building and often times i feel like I'm looked down upon or seen as undesirable due to my position & title..

I feel like my worth and societal value is measured and weighed by my job; despite the fact I get paid just as much as those working at an entry level position, if not more.

I feel like the woman had my job are intrigued by me but when they see be handling the garbage or pushing giant barrels around they quickly write me off, despite me being of the same social standing as them; if not higher because a lot of the state workers have to work 2 jobs and aren't doing that well financially despite them working for the state.

What is this phenomenon I am experiencing?

Mind you, there are hundred of thousands of incidents and examples where a woman messes around with someone from a lower social standing than them..

Teacher - student Cop - criminal Career woman - unemployed dead beat ..etc

So why do feel like I'm unable of finding or establishing a romantic connection as a janitor with someone in a state office, despite my success, integrity, depth, and intrigue?
