There's no rule.
Every couple develops its own gestures and practices.
Finding the right one, of course, might take some time.
In the meamwhile, just relax: try to understand if there is smth that the other is realle hating(so to avoid), but don't be overattentive: you also have wishes, and he should pay the same attention to you as you ar to him;)
Don't repress your personality,never;)
PS I also am not for holding hands. I prefer holding waists.

Sorry to ask! I'm just curious! How do you walk holding waists? One also can't hold the waist while sitting in a chair with a back!

It's fine. You being a woman, your natural affectionate instinct is almost always appropriate and if he is half a man he'll be able to receive it well

if he doesn’t like holding hands then he might not into it even though a lot of guys are! finding ways to touch his arm or shoulder while you sit next to him or sitting really close can be good ways to show him you like him though! there’s other stuff you could do too of course

As a female, I’m typically an affectionate hand-holder, but sometimes I love holding on to their arm versus the hand. You feel closer without being to clingy, and you totally avoid any possibility of a sweaty hand situation.

Nothing wrong with showing affection to said person you like. I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

It’s the most natural thing to do … are you scared it will be a dealbreaker… just do it .. if the deal goes south, Let it .. not being able to display minor signs of affection is not sustainable… hope this helps

Depends on how you hold them.

It's really nice. For many people it is a sign to the public that you are closely engaged with each other, but some guys may not be so comfortable with it or don't feel that close with you just yet. Just don't be forceful, if he is a normal person you will find common ground without any problems.

I don't think I need to say anything differently, it's quite clear in other comments. Just wanna say if you feel comfortable with him then let him know by holding his arm. He'll know you're comfy w him. I had my girl do this to me during our first dates and a current rushed in my spine.

Depends if he likes you or not and if he is familiar with you. If he likes you and is comfortable around you he likes it for sure. If he thinks you are hot but you just met him and latch onto his arm it can be a bit akward but no big deal. If he doesnt like you its hopeless anyway

It messes up my flow. I feel like I'm walking with a cripple. Hands are fine.
