I know it said physically attractive but I think removing the personality component would be a mistake.. often even if we are drawn to people's physical appearance theres a deal of ot that is personality expressed by decorating ones self or behavoirs.
In other words grow yourself and your personality. I guess first step pertains most to your question. Most important is take care of yourself. But also I'd just think of yourself as a canvas for which you can communicate your personality to others.

A perfect answer. Literally applies to everyone.

It will definitely depend on personal preference. For me personally, nice hair is what attracts me the most. Slightly longer, soft, voluminous, brushed and styled. I don’t like when men have super short hair, I don’t think it’s flattering on most guys. I like some muscles, but I don’t like abs or a lot of muscles. I don’t mind if a guy is skinnier or a little heavier. I think facial hair can look good, but personally it’s not usually attractive to me because facial hair tends to irritate my skin and make me break out. Also, I appreciate when guys dress nicely. Doesn’t have to be fancy, just look put together. Don’t wear the same pair of shoes every day, I like when a guy has at least a few different pairs of shoes, cuz sneakers are not always gonna cut it!
Edit: fixed a word

As a guy who only owns two pairs of shoes, what general categories should I have separate pairs of shoes for?
[–]ChigBungus22 17 points18 points19 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I’m a fellow dude but this has worked well for me:
At least 1 pair of clean, white casual sneakers
High-quality pair of dress shoes/boots in brown and black
Pair of work boots
Couple of pairs of gym shoes
Pair of shoes you can wear to the bars or a darty as a beater and not worry too much about (black vans or something similar works well)
A pair of high tops such as Nike Blazer that look nice with jeans but can be dressed down.

This is a pretty well rounded collection, and can be tailored to specific style

Dang that sounds expensive

Hard agree on this. Skinny > muscular >>>> chubby
[–]batalieee 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
For me I don’t have a strong preference on build, if anything I prefer medium or chubby/dad mod build to skinny, cuz it’s better for cuddling ;)

Nice eyes and a good smile is what draws me to a person. :)

I am mostly attracted to people who are reasonably taking care of their bodies (I’m thin, I’ve been with big men, it’s still sexy but concerning long term.. not relationship material for me)
I like when their facial hair is cleaned up and they have had a haircut in the last six months. No long hair, it’s a turn off for me but I know some women love it.
Otherwise I enjoy men of every variety. Be clean and witty and I’m pretty agreeable.

I guess it’s not really a physical trait but even pretending to be confident will make you appear hotter. I’ve been friends with guys who always shit their looks and feel bad for themselves when they aren’t unattractive; they just make themselves so depressing to be around that no girls actually want to be around them. Which reinforces their opinions. As a girl , I’ve always been insecure but as I entered my 20s I realized that it really doesn’t matter what others think about you but instead how you look at yourself and present yourself. I’ve gotten way more guys by being confident and proud of myself (even if I was feeling bloated or had gained some weight). Confidence is key and if you fake it enough, you’ll start to become it! Good luck!
Also I always enjoy a message that has something specific about my profile that you like. I get hundreds so I’m not going to respond to a basic “hey” but I will respond to “hey I saw you went to ____ university, so did I! How’d you end up so far away?“ or a funny joke.

This question would be better asked onr/askreddit or the dating subs.
Also, you'll get a lot of different answers that will usually boil down to "just be an attractive narcissist with multiple personality disorder."

Okay since comments only say you won’t get a direct answer from a woman, there’s my two cents regarding appearance: tan skin(my preference), not necessarily ripped or muscular but bigger, could be dad bod, wide shoulders and stuff. I also do notice posture sometimes, the “gamer scoliosis” doesn’t look too good. Its always very attractive when men smell nice. Bonus points for fresh haircuts, whatever style they are. On the other hand, biggest turn off’s appearance-wise are long and dirty fingernails and extreme obesity.

My gf says muscles dont matter but having good delts pecs and glutes helps alot abs not so much theyre always covered but seeing a pec bulge on the tshirt or the shoulders being round is nice

A girl told me last night when I asked this question. In her words verbatim “urmm to be honest you kinda have to be a dickhead to stand a chance. Maybe just a tiny bit of a dickhead”
Add a fat wallet to that and you golden
[–]Sensitive_Yam_6661 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That is a girl that will lead to nothing but drama. If you need to change who you are to be with someone they are just not the right person.
[–]WanyCaleb 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes Sir! You gotta be a lil bit toxic or a lot.
[–]recyclablebanthas1 point 4 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
Two caveats in asking most people their opinion of what constitutes "attractiveness":
She basically just told you that she is immature and into guys who are dickheads. But because she's immature, she thinks that what applies to her, applies to all women.

First and foremost for me is good hygiene. If a guy stinks or does not take care of himself is a turnoff. What I love about a man is that he smells good. Might I suggest a signature cologne to use that you wear on the daily so every time you’re near someone of interested they are reminded of you. I recommend a vanilla husky scent (I like sweet things but depends on the person)
Truth be told this is how the world works most of the time is when a man that is physically attractive. For me, a man can be physically attracted to me and I have interest in him but if his personality is shit, goodbye. It really depends on what a woman finds “attractive.” But you can always improve on yourself like getting into a new hobby, reading, or a sport too.
Physical attractiveness can only get you so far superficially. If you want something more than that, have a personality. Men I’ve known were superficial but the ones I’ve found attractive was their state of mind and had a goal set in mind.
Another thing. If you want to get a girl’s attention, look at her with your eyes and if she seems interested I guess go for it but not until you have the go to.

Your plan is "I'll simply ask what women like then I'll become exactly that and then I won't need game at all. #Genuis"
This an exercise in futility.
I'm not even getting into the "ask a fish" trope.
It's not what women like, it's what they respond to. It's not even you as a man like, it's what you respond to.
Listen to every woman and she'll say she's attracted to hot tall guys with a lot of money and big dicks.
Then you enter the real world and you see that same woman with a pudgy bald guy who drives a toyota and she seems deliriously happy with him.
As a man, I don't I could tell you what I find physically attractive in a woman. I thought I knew when I was younger, I had this vision of what I liked in a woman, I could tell you everything I found physically attractive in a woman.
And you would see the women I've dated and you would call me a liar.
For example; I absolutely ABHOR being called "Daddy" in bed. It's f'ing weird and strange and I've actually stopped having sex with several women because they called me that.
Now I'm seeing this petite gothic girl who is ridiculously adorable and for some reason her saying "Hi daddy" to me is a huge turn-on.
So I don't even know what I find attractive. I've dated skinny girls, tall girls, blondes, brunettes, heavily tattooed, no tattoos, religious nuts, atheists, alcoholics and gym rats, every single kind.
They just had something going on with them that I found irresistible.
Also, women are not going to tell you the truth because most women are nice people and they don't like to harshly hurt people's feelings.
That's why a woman will stop responding to you rather than say "Meh, you're just too ugly for me to be seen with."
Get in shape, get your shit together and learn how to talk to people and stop looking for shortcuts.

They gotta be attracted to you at least physically before all those other stuff come into play. Those things are pretty subjective, bottom line is grooming and how you care for your body.

Not a woman, but my man, attraction for women works differently than for us guys. Good looks aren't the most important thing for a girl, for many girls it's not even that important at all. If you want to get girls improve your confidence and social skills. And advice from girls on how to talk to girls won't get you much results because most girls don't understand that well how their subconscious mind works (I'm not insulting you girls, just stating a fact).

A man who spoils me, a gentleman that make s sure I'm comfortable and taken care of Ohhh physically you said!! Mmm, a man that keeps himself clean and smelling good, well fitted clothes, clean shoes, clean nails, clean thooth, no stinky breath.

It’s good to hear a woman’s perspective on what they find attractive, but it’s a bad idea to take direct advice from women on seduction. I wouldn’t seek out advice on how to chat online. Be friendly, use some restraint, learn a bit about them. After a little banter, set the date. Don’t overthink it.
Also, you’re going to get several different responses on what they find physically attractive. They’re not a monolith.

Been trying to improve my look after a breakup been out of the game for a while and cant seem to catch anyone's eye.
The issue is not a knowledge gap. It's a confidence issue. This is a common trope after a breakup.
Confidence is generally at an all time low at times like these. And the problem is that low confidence has two nasty effects:
The solution is not public polling. The solution is to continue to recover your confidence.
New things to try might include:

Don’t wear loose fitting, out of style, old jeans with scuffed white running shoes. It appears to be a huge red flag to women that your taste is bad, but also you’re cheap.

A good haircut, cleaned up facial hair, dressed nicely, smells good, a nice smile.
You don’t necessarily have to have big muscles. I think a lot of dudes who spend time in the gym like that don’t tend to be attentive in any aspects of relationships.

A guy that smells good - nice cologne, has good personal hygiene, a nice smile with clean and white teethe and fresh breath. A guy that stands tall with his head up, and a guy that makes an effort in his appearance (dresses nice, takes care of his hair, ensures his facial hair is in check, has short and clean nails). Finally, the one thing that can make even the most unattractive guy stand out - confidence.
I have caught eyes for men that I would have never even considered due to their charisma and confidence. It usually makes me overlook any physical biases I may have over them, and I swoon over them.
A man or woman that knows their worth and is confident in themselves is hot.
Good luck!
