lol this is one of those things where it clearly isn't a gender issue and has nothing to do with seduction.

Regardless, the point is you shouldn't be afraid to talk to anyone, make a fool of yourself. It is likely only you will remember.

Hi, if you’re reading this, I’ve decided to replace/delete every post and comment that I’ve made on Reddit for the past 12 years.
No, I won’t be restoring the posts, nor commenting anymore on reddit with my thoughts, knowledge, and expertise.
It’s time to put my foot down. I’ll never give Reddit my free time again unless this CEO is removed and the API access be available for free. I also think this is a stark reminder that if you are posting content on this platform for free, you’re the product.
To hell with this CEO and reddit’s business decisions regarding the API to independent developers. This platform will die with a million cuts.
You, the PEOPLE of reddit, have been incredibly wonderful these past 12 years. But, it’s time to move elsewhere on the internet. Even if elsewhere still hasn’t been decided yet. I encourage you to do the same. Farewell everyone, I’ll see you elsewhere.

Has something to do with seduction.
I think the lesson is: Don't be afraid of failing; be afraid of failing memorably.

"there is no one. There is no one."

wow, even though those two statements are completely identical i read them in a completely different way.

I don't get how this has any relation to chasing 'the one.' If the girl actually likes you, she will definitely remember you. If she doesn't, then she sure as hell isn't 'the one'

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Every girl remembers me. Every girl. Sometimes because of great things, sometimes of bad things.
I'd rather have every girl ever remember me, because I always get better. Better looking, better physically, better financially. So when they see me again, I'm always better. I keep this attitude to keep me striving to perfection
That's the goal. :)

Are you sure she didn't recognize you? Maybe she was just fooling you like that.
Pretty sure she didn't, but then again, I didn't care or pushed her to a conversation. Just a neat observation.

Some people are just bad at remembering people, faces etc. I often spot a familiar face, know its from a few years ago, but I don't know who it is. I've had people come up to me and say they know who I am but I can't remember who they are. I certainly don't remember their names from years ago.
It's a good conversation starter. Essentially the classic "Do I know you from somewhere?" - trying to piece together our two sides of the memory, finding the shared items of information, and having a laugh about that part.

The funny thing about this is that...isn't the stereotype about PUA's the other way around?
It's half and half. If I hadn't said anything, I would have never known, and moved on. Women come and go and there's nothing wrong with that. :)

This past weekend, I saw two hot girls at the bar talking to my buddy. I came up to my buddy and asked him to introduce me to them. He did, and one of the girls said, "umm.. we already know you." It turns out they were the same girls I had been hitting on a month ago. I gave one my number (the one who remembered me), but she never called me. So I forgot her. I told her that's why I forgot her. Pretty sure she was offended anyway. But you know what? Screw her. If she can't be bothered to call me, I can't be bothered to remember meeting her.
Maybe next time I see them I'll at least remember her name.

There's a How I Met Your Mother episode where Ted has a first date with a girl he had a first date with 7 years earlier and she doesn't remember him at all. Definitely hits home with what you're saying.
And the more of them you're around, the less you remember them also. I've had really pretty girls come up to me many times and be like "Hey, it's Peterclemenza!" and I'm like "Who the fuck is this?" Good feeling compared to the oneitis I once had.

Girls will remember you if you make them feel a certain way emotionally. If you're just some guy that said some words to her in one of her classes, or approached her and said some stupid shit to her on the street and got her number, she will most definitely forget you. That's why you need to say some things to her that will stick with her on an emotional level.
Example. Here's one I did with good eye contact and body language:
Me: "You're studying to be a veterinarian? My mother did that for 8 years. What made you first realize that you wanted to become one".
Me: (after she responded) "I think it's definitely important for a person to follow their dreams regardless of what others are going to tell them. That's so cool that you're doing what you love, because a person who does what they love is going to be much happier in life." fist bump (kino) "Were you always a happy person?"
The 2nd part of what I said can be applied to literally everyone. Only the first line is unique to her, but to answer any of these questions she has to think and talk about HERSELF. These make her realize a little bit more about who she is on the inside. You're tapping into her emotionally. Listen well and remember what she says. THIS is how you really get to know a woman. Now she wont forget you. Women are emotional, men aren't nearly as much. Plant some emotional seeds. Emotions, emotions.
DISCLAIMER: Don't be a dickhead to a woman's emotions.

"Don't be a dickhead to a woman's emotions"
Dang.
[–]cliftonixs 1 point2 points3 points 14 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Indeed. Thinking back on it.... Emotionally, there was nothing there, not on my part and not on hers. So it makes sense.
[–]skcin7 1 point2 points3 points 14 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
So keep working on it man. :) Just talking to her = you dun good. Look at how much you learned from the process. Now go out and try it on other women and you will learn even more. Have some upvotes.
No doubt about that, it's the nature of things. :) upvotes for everyone!

They'll surely remember you if you mess up bad
[–]SoHiSoFly 1 point2 points3 points 14 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's so correct! In any sitch(especially work), a bunch of "attaboys" can be destroyed by a "uh-oh"

Some woman have remembered my name and I have no clue who they are. Not a gender issue. Just the difference between someone leaving a lasting impression or not.
That reminds me of a girl I ran into a few months after she graduated. She said whenever she saw me on campus, she wasn't sure if it was me, so she didn't want to make a fool of herself.
Long story short, since I was crazy for this girl, and never expected to see her ever again, I acted like a total beta in saying we should hang out, and gave her my number. I never heard back from her.
[–]Richandler -1 points0 points1 point 14 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
She recognized you. She did care to act like she did though. Don't worry about it. You shouldn't care little things like that anyway.
Indeed.
