Disclaimer: This is my first field report so critique and advice is strongly wanted. I am making this into a field reportish thing with advice in bold.
I cannot stress this enough. I deactivate (people can still see my profile but I don't get any notifications and it will only be reactivated if i log back in) my facebook about a week ago and went from afc to big guy on campus. I realized that all facebook did for me was make me jealous and caused me to compare myself to people non-stop. Seeing everyone else having fun and looking at all these incredibly attractive women made me want things that I didn't have at that exact moment more and more. I do keep the messenger app on my phone but that is strictly for business. Deactivate your facebook for a week and see if you notice any change in your mood

Now onto where this has gotten me. My friend was throwing a new years eve party at his mothers house with about 30-40 people. I picked up a girl that I also knew was going and when we get there I immediately spot a HB-8 and two HB-7s, none of which i knew. This surprised me but also excited me because those were three more people who I can meet, learn about, and connect with.
A buddy who brought his gf along told me he was going to wing for me. I said sure but if the chance arose in which I could open by myself I was taking it. I open the HB-8(sarah) who was talking to two other guys. With my knowledge of one of the guys who was talking to her he was probably going to be getting with her within the next 30 min. so I let him work her but I still flirted with her the rest of the night. Someone wanted a group picture so I knelt down right infront of the Sarah and she immediately started messaging my back with her knee so I put my beer down and used some kino on her, moving my hand around her lower leg and slowly moving upwards, all while facing the camera and smiling.
I open spot one of the HB-7s and applied the 3 second rule and moved in immediately. We talked for a good 15-20 minutes before the music started and the lights went down. I mentioned that there wasn't any beer left, just the hard stuff and she quickly offered me a beer from a stash that her friends brought. I said thank you and she then compared her beer with mine and said to me "you better get drinking. I'm winning." I replied with a playfully stern look on my face, "bring it on." We started grinding and making out and surprisingly we were right next to sarah and 'her guy' so I feel like grinding and hooking up in front of her may have shown that I don't need her with some jealousy attached? We then made out for the rest of the night and when I requested that we go to my car she didn't say no but she said she was a virgin (18). I replied with, "that's fine." I then walked away to use the bathroom and she went over to converse with her lady friends. Upon my return she immediately said "let's go to your car." I denied her request because I didn't feel a need to go any farther than hooking up. I also had been hooking up for a while and wanted to go talk to other people. At the end of the night when people who weren't crashing there were leaving a HB-8 who I known for a while and who I had gotten rejected by before came up to me, hugged me, and whispered in my ear "It's funny because I thought we were going to get with each other but we both ended up getting with other people." "Yeah, right?" was my response as I wasn't totally coherent being overcome by sleep at the time. She then kissed me on the cheek and left. I later texted her asking her to go for coffee strictly as friends. I am not banking on getting with her but well see what happens.

TL;DR: Excited that there were people there I didn't know. Flirted with them all, massively k-closed one of them and turned down an opportunity to possibly F-close by choice. (wanna know why? read the post) K-closed by a girl I had perviously been rejected by.

EDIT: The only person who needs to have fun at the party you were at last night is you and the people you interacted with (because you were there). Pictures don't need to show anybody on facebook what a great time you had because no picture will ever help you relive a party. If that girl across the street that you've always had a hard-on for wasn't at the party, so what? Having her see pictures of you having a blast with other people will obviously help but why not just invite her to the party and have her live it with you?

You can retake a picture but you can never relive a party.
