So this pretty attractive Korean girl started working at my restaurant. Guys are swarming her with attention. Trying not to be the shy guy anymore, I made an inappropriate joke but ended up sounded like an asshole (said it sucks to work with her.) A manager called me out on it. She looked hurt. I kinda feel bad now as I write this. I think I was too try hard.

The thing is, I feel at my restaurant an "anything goes"/insult/putdowns is fair game. There are much less social barriers in restaurants (dirty jokes are fair game too), people are constnatly socializing when its slow. I find myself developing a different sense of humor. It's definitely cool finding myself saying funny stuff I wouldn't have said a year ago.

So it's a struggle and journey. I'm tired of being the quiet guy or the "fact exchange" guy. Anyone have any tips/advice?
