Direct game: thoughts?

I prefer indirect game. I'll be honest, this might be because I haven't got the balls to go direct.

I'm also guessing direct game works much better if you're good looking. I mean if you go in direct, she's not going to keep talking to you unless she's instantly attracted to you since you have forced the issue.

Having said this, context is very important when deciding to go direct or indirect. Indirect street game on a moving target doesn't really work. You have to go direct and stop the target. Similarly, on the dance floor you have to be direct and physical rather than verbal. You can't ask a girl for a female opinion on something when she's shaking her ass like mad on the dance floor and expect it to work.

I prefer direct game, i feel it's more in line with the masculine energy. Indirect game is more similar to feminine energy. Both work, but I just like direct better. There's also less of a chance of getting called out on being a pick up artist, instead, you're just a cool, sexually agessive guy.

I prefer direct. I couldn't imagine going in indirect - it feels fake to me, and it feels like it'd show. That last part is my issue, if indirect works / feels genuine to you, then that's great.

My situation (I'm married, and has a kid, and while we have an "arrangement" I love my wife and don't want to spend lots of time chasing other women; I just want the extra sex... yes I'm greedy) also leaves me with very little time and no reason to settle, and so I don't want to deal with any bullshit - either she's up for what I want, or she's not, and I want to know quickly.

I picked up this nurse this weekend. Literally picked up - she was tiny, and she loved it when I lifted her up to make a point of how small and light she was, and told her how I wanted to just put her in my pocket and run out of there and do unspeakable things to her... So much so she pushed her number on me after a couple of minutes of increasing sexual innuendo couple with me manhandling her, and made me promise to call her. Things have just gotten dirtier from there. I wouldn't get that kind of instant attraction that quickly from going indirect (but that might just be me...).

(sidenote: I love lifting girls up by their waist; it can be an awesome attraction spike and establishes very clear dominance)

Indirect leaves less room for rejection. That might be good if you care about whether or not you're rejected or to give you more room to establish attraction before she realizes what you're after, but it also means you need to do more to establish your intent.

Personally I don't want to spend lots of time beating about the bush with girls I have no intention of getting serious with, and I also don't want to leave even 1% chance of them thinking a relationship or sex-less friendship is even a possibility... I'd rather get blown out instantly and move on, unless it's someone I want really badly.

How would you continue once you've made your intent clear with indirect openers? That's effectively where you start.

How do you deal with giving compliments now because the real reason you opened her was you thought she was hot? Do you guys euphemize this with, "You seem interesting" or just throw it out there, "You're a beautiful woman, let's talk."

The latter. The former sounds to me like "I think you might be a an ok enough friend to have; I may or may not try to sleep with you later, but if you want to reject me I'll just orbit for a while"... That is, unless the former is delivered with a smirk and body language / intonation that is screaming "that dress you're wearing is totally indecent, and when I say you are 'interesting' I really mean 'I'm interested in taking it off you and railing you behind the bushes'".

To drag out a really tired example, consider Joey in Friends saying "How you doin'?" vs. some "normal" guy saying "How are you doing?" in a completely neutral voice with no smirk and eye movements to back it up.

The Joey version is very direct, even if the words doesn't really say anything - nobody on the receiving end of that would for a second doubt that he's a real ho-bag that wants to get in her panties.

But unless you're able to deliver "anything" in the manner where there'll be no doubt and wants to go direct, it's easier to just make it clear with words.

As for giving compliments after the open, I give compliments when I mean them and can effortlessly back them up with body language. I just dial them up/down depending on her reaction to me. If she's all over me, I'll mirror her excitement to a degree (if I'm into her of course); if she's not that into me, I'll usually act cooler than her but I'll still make it clear that I'm interested in her, and that by "interested" I mean I'd like to rail her behind the bushes, just that I'm not so interested I care if she won't do it, because there are plenty of other girls around.

For example, if you're hitting on a girl with perfect body, she knows she's got a perfect body, you know it, and she knows that you know it.

There's no point in pretending you think she's not got a perfect body (this is assuming you're not dealing with some fundamentally insecure girl), and expressing that you find her very attractive, including complimenting her on it outright, is fine.

You just need to make sure she doesn't get the idea that this is a big deal to you, and you need to make sure it's not the same thing she hears 100 times a day.

If in doubt, deliver them matter-of-fact, and/or be very specific and optionally compliment something they're aware of but that is not immediately obvious is a good thing. E.g. instead of "you're hot", you might go "You're hot, but what really got me interested was when I noticed that really cute way you snort a little bit when you laugh". Just make sure you really do believe what you say.

Some insecure beta orbiter that's terrified of being rejected is not going to be complementing a hot girl on how she snorts when she laughs no matter how cute it actually is. The hotter the girl, the more specific the compliments, the same way you might tell a kid just starting to play the piano is "good" but you won't impress a seasoned classical concert pianist if you can't point to specific aspects of their performance and explain why just that aspect was good - he or she will have heard the generic platitudes a thousand times before.
