From what I see on this sub, bars seem to be main setting for many people to meet girls. I don't get it. I live in one of the biggest cities of Europe. I have never, ever saw a guy approaching a girl he doesn't know there. All I see are people going there in groups of 2-10 friends, taking a table and drinking together. Ok I've seen ppl approaching on some special events like language exchanges but that's a bit different.

Another interesting realization is that during 26 years of my life, I have never seen a guy approaching a girl in public. Things mentioned on this sub like approaching on a bus stop, grocery store itd. sound like science fiction to me.

So is it some cultural difference between US (I think most ppl here are from US) and Europe, or I'm just going to wrong places? Or maybe guys do approaches, but they make sure nobody is watching?
