I used to use affirmations in the past, and they made a huge difference about how I felt just walking around. I was reminded of them when I read this book called Miracle Morning, which is all about developing a morning routine to enhance your day (the book is good, but the overall message is just to wake up early and meditate/do affirmations or other similar stuff/exercise/write/etc.).

I forgot what affirmations I used in the past. I think everyone has to tailor their own, but we can benefit from sharing.

I'm just spit-balling here (to be heavily refined later), but off the top of my head:

  • I do what makes me happy
  • I have no shame
  • Nobody can think bad of me (this isn't an attempt to control other people's reactions. It's a way to convince myself that it's literally impossible for others to have a negative thought about me.)
  • Everyone gets uncomfortable sometimes, but when I do, I accept it and realize that it means I'm growing (I'll work on this one - it needs refinement)
  • I enjoy and embrace all aspects of life
  • I'm a fun and confident person

Now your turn :)
