Because using alcohol is like a crutch. I'd prefer to have my natural personality be consensually sexual, and use alcohol as a boost. I don't want to be the super-stud only in the presence of alcohol. That's some fake shit.

Getting drunk is fun, but I don't want that to be the basis of my personality or "game".

Can be good to break ice, but too much will really work against you. Also, for me it's kind of annoying to be around drunk people when I'm sober. Keep that in mind if she's not drinking.

Dunno how you all are going to take this, but alcohol really got out of control for me. Still spending much mental energy and emotional stress dealing with addiction.
Everything in moderation.
But for me, none at all.

I think Mr. Lahey can explain this a bit better.

In other words, if you're using alcohol as a crutch, you're gonna continue using it as a crutch. The problem with that is you can't always be drunk in order to handle social situations.

Otherwise though, drink as much as you want. I drink all the time. Just make sure you're not using it as a supplement for sober interaction. You gotta be able to pull the same shit sober (well, you don't have to, but it'll be more beneficial in the long run).

I don't drink and have often been tempted to to start so i don't second guess myself, girls are more at ease (tell a girl you don't drink and suddenly they tense up around you). But there has been cases of alcoholism in my family (although my siblings are fine drinking), but I am terrified to risk it and while its tempting to drink, I haven't let that shit touch my lips.

Alcohol is not good for me. I don't have natural game at all. The more I drink, the more I lose site of whatever it is I'm wanting to develop (building rapport, escalation, whatever). Not only do I lose site of what I'm wanting to develop, but it also becomes harder to remember the interactions I've had. It means I can't evaluate the points where I've tripped up, or learn from them.

Don't get me wrong, alcohol has it's place. If I want to go out and have a good time, alcohol is fantastic. However, if I want to improve on my game specifically, then alcohol tends to inhibit that somewhat. The boosted confidence isn't worth it.

If you're drinking you'll experience the following:

Agressive[r] Behavior/Attitude [This screws with your tone, reaction, and kino ability]
Slower response/processing [its had to keep up with a girl that is less drunk than you are]
Distorted perceptions - When you think you're doing really well, you may not
Conditioning - Its a crutch: 1. You may become depended on getting a drink to "be in state" or 2. when you're talking with someone it cause most people to hold their drink in front of them [this is a body language of where something is in front of you/closed off behavior]
Prevents you from moving from place to place if it requires driving

Non-pickup reasons:

Costs quite a bit of money when you're out
Not every one goes out and gets trashed. [Outside of college drinking is social, its no longer an attempt to get as trashed as possible]
Hangovers suck

I'm not advised against completely quitting alcohol, its just after 2 its just not a very good idea.

Many people in the community "want to do it without alcohol". For the reasons you mentioned this doesn't make much sense to me. A few drinks both for the girl and you are of great benefit.
