That first hug is a good escalation. Just a big bear hug when you meet her. Let your arms take time to leave her waist.

Actually sitting down for coffee could be on a couch or across from each other. It doesn't matter really, the key is to be constantly on the verge of taking her out back behind the dumpster and fucking her senseless but being a gentleman and minding your coffee.

Then when the date is nearly over take her outside and give her a kiss.

You don't have to go anywhere special really. Depending on the weather where you live why not just go for a walk? 1.5 hours sitting in a coffee shop sounds a little boring to me and even a little walk around the block offers you far more opportunities.

Also, unless you've got some incredible framing and can make her forget about where she is she'll be pretty hesitant to kiss you in a coffee shop.

I really hate coffee dates and don't do them with girls I'm not already dating. Every first date-coffee date I've been on has had me sitting on opposite sides of a table with a girl while she talks about work or school. To me, the ceiling of a coffee date, especially with a (never desirable) pre-understood time constraint, is scheduling another date.

That being said, my advice, if you must go on this date, (quite frankly I would suggest trying to reschedule something better) would be to be as casual and unrushed as possible. If you get a kiss out of it then so be it but don't force anything. If all goes pleasantly try to focus on scheduling another date for dinner and drinks or something fun...

The mistake I've made with coffee dates is to just stay at the coffee shop the entire time. Sometimes I feel like I clicked with the girl, but didn't get to kino at all because she was across the table.

Now what I'm going to do is (if I feel IOI's from her) ask to take a walk with her. Just walk around the shopping center, kino by putting your arm around her waist, and just escalating as much as you can until resistance. Then escalate some more.

If it's too cold to walk outside, have something cool in your car that she HAS TO see/listen to. For me, it's a CD of myself singing karaoke. That often gets the girl into my car. Any way you can isolate her and move venues is something you should try.
