Hey seddit, it was a long night so I'll just try to hit the main points of what I did. As always, you have the brutallyhonest guarantee that nothing is embellished.

1) The pregame:
The night starts at a friends apartment, hanging out playing some drinking games. 3 guys and 5 girls, but these are all good friends so I'm not trying to pick any of them up. Nothing noteworthy at the pregame but two important things here: First, it put me into state. Enjoying yourself before you even head out is going to make it much easier to carry a confident attitude through the night. Second, I drank a lot more than I should have for not even being dt yet. I'm a bigger guy (6'3, 190) with good tolerance but I was pretty buzzed after 8 beers. There's a fine line between alcohol helping you get over your AA and making you sloppy, you'll see what I mean.

2) First bar:
6 of us go dt to the first bar. This place is our main spot and I know all the bartenders and bouncers which makes for good social proof. We get inside and I make a lap stopping to have some drinks with some people I know. I open a few mixed sets and eventually make my way back to our table. There's some inter-group drama going on with the people I came with that I don't feel like putting up with so I eject from a bad situation and head to a bar across the street by myself.

3) Second bar:
The second bar is packed, I see a few people I know but nobody that could make for a wing. As I walk up to the bar there's a HB7 that walks up beside me I decide I want to open. I feel like a lot of guys who are learning this stuff get caught up on opening, not even that it's necessarily AA but that you just don't know what to say. It really doesn't matter guys. The important thing is making a conversation stick once you do open. I open with some situational bullshit and notice she looks pretty young so I start teasing her about sleeping with the bouncer (an overweight woman) to get inside. I keep giving her shit and working on some kino, putting my hand on her back as were talking. She's laughing and pulls out her drivers license to show me that she's 21, and I see she's from [a rival state of my hometown] so I playfully give her even more shit about that. we get some drinks and I say 'come on we're dancing' and lead her to the dance floor. After a couple minutes of grinding I spin her towards me and K close. We see a table of some mutual friends a little while later and go to talk to them. One of the girls at the table tries to cockblock me, even saying 'you're not hooking up with my friend tonight' while we're both standing there. Up to this point I had been thinking about just # closing and seeing what damage I could do by myself dt, but this girl unknowingly made it my mission to hook up with her friend that night. I knew I had to change venue at this point so I laugh the cockblock off with a 'what kind of guy do you think I am?' and tell her we're all going swing dancing across the street, tell her to come. She doesn't know how to, like I was banking on, so I grab my girl and head out.

4) Third bar
As we head in I know the bouncer so I just walk past him while giving him a high-five, and tell him my girl has a fake ID and he shouldn't let her in. They're playing rap which is too bad because I really was trying to swing dance (look, I know it sounds gay but if you can you're golden), but whatever. I run into some other friends there so I start talking to them while she gets us drinks. I'm pretty gone at this point and here's where the sloppiness come in. We start grinding again and instead of just suggesting we head back, we start making out all over the dance floor. I look up and there are two separate girls (HB9 & HB 8) I've been working on slow burns (i.e, months) that I was just starting to make some really good progress with staring at me. I pretend like I don't see them but pretty sure I royally fucked those chances up.

5) Rest of the night:
Go to another bar, DHV and disqualify some more, then back to her place. Got an "I never do this" but no LMR really. Cavemanned the F close.
