Hey seddit, since there's so much noise about text game on the front page lately thought I'd share an interaction that seemed pretty basic to me but hopefully will help. I'm going to keep this one short and sweet, If you want a full on (FR) check out my last one.

The open I was downtown when I saw my target, a friend (HB 7.5) of a friend. I had a wingwoman with me to keep the first girl occupied while I isolated the target. We talked for about 20 minutes, but once I felt the conversation was losing some steam I had a bunch of other friends out so I ejected to make my rounds. I got her number on the way out and that was the last of our face-to-face interaction.
main points: Good wingwomen are money. Don't linger on a stagnant conversation just because it's with a pretty girl.

Text game
I text this girl about 30-45 minutes later with a money line I stole from solocup, "so who was that cute guy you were talking to at the bar? way out of your league...[situational inside joke so she knows it's me] :)."
Her "I don't know, he got my #."
I text back with a situational joke and to get home safe, thinking I blew it judging by her lukewarm response. I let it go until 4 days later when she texts me around 11 PM that she could use a drink after a tough couple days. I respond with a message saying how I could use a drink too but I had to wake up early and proposed we get together Saturday instead. She says that sounds perfect.
The next day she texts me saying she's not sure if she can make it Saturday. I respond that that's too bad, but that's more for me [;-)]so it's ok, and ask what came up since the last time we talked.
She says she forgot she had to work and had already made other plans, and asks if she can bribe me into changing our drinks-night. I tell her I'll give her a one-time raincheck that expires next weekend.
Main points: Be confident throughout your interaction, if she flakes it's not going to ruin your night, and if you want to re-schedule put her on a time constraint. Also, bitches love smiley faces.

The close
She texts back that someday next week would work. I don't respond and she texts that "or tonight..." would work too. It's about midnight on a Wednesday but I figure what the hell and tell her I'm about to put in a movie and chill at my place but give her my address and tell her to feel free to head over. 30 minutes later she's at the door.
main points: Girls want to get laid and are begging you to give them a reason. Don't pussy out.
