Last night I met up with Cute Irish redhead whose number I got at a bar last weekend. I tell her through text to meet me at Starbucks at 9, and to wear comfortable shoes (not telling her what for). I meet her. She is less cute than I remember but still completely my type (fair skinned irish girl with freckles).

We sit at the bucks and talk and we start talking. First about TV shows (the baristas were talking about them and we eves dropped), then about the hurricane, then about dreams ( I told her about the crazy dreams I had during the 'cane). Then it gets out that SHE WAS IN JAIL FOR A WEEK FOR SELLING HEROIN. THis was 2 years ago but she's still in court over it. DING DING DING.

I played it cool and at one point said, "It's kind of a turn on - you being a convict". She loved this and turned red. I think this was good because it was direct. After I blushed her out, I said "You're not carrying a gun in your purse are you?". This was light and it relieved the pressure I built up.

Then I took her to local bar for free Salsa class. It was a lot of fun and not much pressure. The instructor was teaching me how to twirl her properly. It was good physical contact and I learned a lot about leading and taking charge (a necessity when dancing). I think I lost points here for not being aggressive enough. The instructors kept demanding me to take charge of her. I may have come off as being too submissive but it was hard for a first date!

We then walked back to my place, I made tea. Turned the lights down low(this was a bad idea b/c I could tell it set off the "THIS IS A SEDUCTION" alarm in her head). We made out. It was hot. She said she's gonna go home. I tell her, "Yeah you should get the hell out" (jokingly).

We made plans to go to the dance class again. Not much chemistry with this one (she seems kinda dull) but definitely attraction.

Next time, I think I should have :

kissed her BEFORE going back to my house Made her feel more comfortable at my place, instead of turning on the sexy music and dimming the lights
