Had a client who's 50 close 5 girls in 2 weeks. What changes at your age is the approach. You don't have unlimited nights to burn on bad venues and low volume. Time is the constraint, so you build a funnel that works efficiently.

Apps with photos optimized for female gaze. Bars for cold approach reps where you can move around. Social circle through things you're already doing. At 42 you have resources and life experience most guys in their 20s don't. That's an asset if you use it right.

I'm 40+ and I can get girls of any age. Obviously a lot of girls 25 and under are not going to do it, but a lot will.

But on a broader note, to succeed in game, you need to get every negative thought out of your head.

It always depends on the girl's type, character, personality... Either you recognize them just by looking at them, because they possess certain characteristics (it's all about their vibe, just like you can instantly tell if a dog walking toward you wants to play or bite)... or another method which is easier, is to be where those women hang out (meaning low-key bars/clubs). Usually, these places are pretty well-known around town.... Do not be too picky and interesting things can happen, but thinking you can get a college girl who is focused on her studies and has everything she wants from her parents, that's a fantasy.

But I wouldn't say it is impossible, as long as, you are in relatively decent shape for age. If you have spent your life eating loads of fast food, getting fat, being a couch potato and have no idea how to dress decently (everyone knows the guy, that just has his one set of clothes he wears or just chucks on random shit), then yeah good fucking luck. So I dunno you, I dunno your lifestyle, so its kind of hard to give "advice".

I’m in the same boat as you as a pretty average looking 41 year old guy. Have spent more effort on dating in my late 20s/ early 30s. Definitely feels like more effort is needed now, but I think women still sense your energy.

42 isn't that old, lol. Stay in shape, dress well, have hobbies (meeting new people in the same activities you joined works well) and learn how to have a good conversation, those things will do way more for you than any pick up ever will

I usually go for college chicks, because well I’m a college student and I live in a college town lmao but I look 20-24. Last week I was talking to an older woman who’s 42 and she thought I was 22, so I kinda use this for blending in and such.

You can get women that are at your level of attractiveness and skill.

As you're 42, you get some minus-points with most younger women due to your age. So then it depends what else you bring to the table.

Or, you need to find those women that are into older men. There is definitely a subsection of the population that fall into this category. However, the competition for them is high. Everyone wants young women - level up your game and what you have to offer, or accept that you will be outcompeted by other men.

Or - and this is always an option: Go for women your own age. This is what most guys do, because it's easier. She will be more committed to you, more attracted to you (typically), and won't be all about trying to get your money.

Most age-gap casual flings are in the pseudo-sugar-daddy gray area. She accepts an older guy because he buys her stuff, let's her live in his place for free etc. It's "prostitution light".
