Talk to a good amount of girls. Don't be intimidated. Laugh off your mistakes. Make eye contact.

If you have a buddy try wingmaning yourselves into a group of girls. It can be a loss let stressful approaching girls if you're doing it for someone else. Don't become laser focused on getting laid. Focus on having a good time and people will want to be a part of that. Good luck man, have fun.

If you haven't been to a lot of parties, you have missed out on tons of opportunities to be acclimated to that environment. So I'm gonna make a prediction: you're gonna be nervous and it most likely won't turn out very well. You will maybe try and talk to a few girls. If your stars are really aligned, it might turn out to be awesome. But most likely it will just not.

The thing to remember though is that even if the party sucks balls, it won't be the end of the world. It will be an experience, good or bad.

Listen to these other guys, and if the party overwhelms you, find somewhere a little quieter and take a break. Chances are there are others feeling like you. Don't stress flirting with girls, do what feels natural, but if this is your first party, you need to learn how to have fun a these parties first. If you don't feel like dancing, find something else to do. Whatever happens, try to live in the moment and enjoy the ride.

Honestly, just realize you are unknown to 490/500 of the peope at this party. They don't know the things that make you nervous, or your past, or what you're insecure about, they just know you in that moment, and will probably be drunk enough to forget you in passing after 5 minutes. You'll meet a lot of people and forget their names, and same will happen with your own name. It's essentially anonymous, and you can present yourself however you like. Just try to settle down, don't worry about what you look like, and have some fun. Weird dudes can be the life of the party sometimes, cause they don't care how people perceive them and it comes off as confident. Go into it with an open mind.

Take some shots and take the pressure off of yourself. Just go and have fun. As soon as your start to overthink things like getting a number, this is moment you try to hard. Trust me, at least half the party will be intoxicated. All you have to do is start off a conversation without the intent of anything and you'll be surprised how many girls you've attracted and possible #'s too.

Just dress your best,comb your hair,and smell good.Then just play it cool and and get something to drink/eat and just have fun.Just enjoy the atmosphere and the vibe.If you see alot of cute girls who look nice just give them a glance and they will return it if they are interested.If their is a crowd of a bunch people dancing/going crazy close together,then go join them and have fun and just go crazy

You'll be totally fine. Introduce yourself to some people who don't intimidate you - dudes, the less hot girls, whatever. Just have a couple quick conversations, don't spend too long with each. You'll get in a better mood when you see that you can socialize with everyone easily.

If it doesn't work out tonight, there will be other parties. Also, you might be someone who is more successful outside of parties. If that's the case, this is just an opportunity to meet some friends who you can later hang out with.

One last thing - you're not trying to convince any girl to like you. You're simply looking for cues to see if she's into you, and if so, you can escalate. It's just an information game. If she's not into you, politely move on. You're going to be fine.

I felt this way too at my first college party, the key is social proof. Go in there and make friends with the guys, and just act like you're the shit. If you do that, the girls will honestly open you.

First of all, college parties are not like in the movies. If there is a designated dance floor, that's pretty fucking gay... They're just excuses for people to get together and drink inside of a house while music plays. Not a big deal. You walk around and jump from group to group talking with people you may or may not know. Don't be afraid to explore around by yourself. It will help you get out of your comfort zone, but just act like you have a purpose. Tell yourself that your the fuckin man and man up. Drink your beer, don't try to be the loudest person in the room because they're the biggest douchebags generally. Just chill. But try not to show up at future parties on a party bus. Kinda lame and childish. People standing out front will have a bad impression of you. I know my comment is after the fact... But post how it went for you, what you learned, etc.
