I was chilling in my sociology class this Wednesday when a girl I sit by and I had to have a conversation, as instructed by the professor.

We talked at least 3 or 4 other times in the class before and went to the same middle school, so by now we were pretty comfortable around each other. The ice breaking phase was over with.

As we talked she slowly began to get closer to me. Leaning in, laughing at my low effort jokes, even eventually leaning her knee against mine.

That last part was so sudden for me, I was like wtf is she doing???

As I came to grips with the situation, I was like ok... Let me see where this thing goes, I'm game. I'm not particularly attracted to her because she's on the bigger side of girls and she's not my type when it comes to personality, but I was bored so I was like what the hell.

But it turns out that as I was observing her throughout the rest of the conversation, it seemed like she wasn't truly interested in me. Something was off.

Aside from getting close to me, there was no sort of sexual tension, she wasn't nervous in the LEAST bit, like at all, and she was also chill asf when we passed in the hall later that day and said what's up like how one of the homies would lol.

It was so strange how she acted interested, but didn't show any sort of nervousness or anything like that as the interaction became more technically intimate.

Late this night I came to realize that this was likely just her probing to see if she could get me to chase after/simp for her.

This has only happened one other time for me, so I wasn't instantly familiar with what was going on. It worked the first time, but I was like fuck all of it works this time.

Just wanted to put this out here, since this is my second time experiencing it.

Do NOT assume that a girl who makes the first move likes you. Alot of the time, they're attempting to string you along, presumably for the ego boost that ensues after you desperately chase after them.
