Sit in the bar. Talk to the first person who sits next to you. Then once you gain momentum start hitting on girls on another tables.

Did that in Japan and got some success. It’s also a big plus if you can speak their language.

Just make sure you are not alone in a corner sipping your drink, that would make you look creepy.

In my experience big and noisy clubs with dancefloor, etc... are better than small bars when you go alone.

In a sense everyone is alone in a big club.

I've been with a lot of hired guns. In fact they are my preference because they tend to be more independent females (out in the real world earlier than most women, earning a paycheck).

They also tend to be a little more sex-positive and sassy. Which I like.

And they tell me everything.

A fit man by himself, dressed decently, who gets to the point and is honest in a charming way will seem less creepy than a guy who always travels with the frat who drinks and talks too much.

Hit the bars. Wear non-sports team clothing, no sweatpants, no sneakers. Make sure the clothing isn't faded. Be honest with the people there. If you see a bartender you have a crush on, or a server, make firm, direct eye contact and grin. Then ask her out with a half hour if you're getting nice IOI's.

I hear a lot about "stare guys" from hired guns...men who just sit at the bar staring at the bartenders, who never have the courage to ask them out even though the bartenders know they want them. They can't stand these guys. Most of these guys don't go to the gym and dress frumpily. It is a relief for hired guns (especially at sports bars) to see fit, decently dressed men...because they see so many people a day. It's not an office job or an at-home job.

The "starers" lack of confidence infers a couple things, one of which is a man is not confident in bed either.

In clubs, try to just go to a girl and tell her you found her attractive and wanted to meet her. She will either laugh and thank you or tell you to fuck off. If the former happens, you introduce yourself. If the latter, you move on.
