Hey All,

On all my dates recently, I've been trying to focus on just one or two core things to make some consistent progress. These have been things like:

  1. Making it man to woman
  2. Escalating during the date (not waiting until the end to kiss)
  3. Qualifying her

It's been going great BUT I'm noticing now in my post-date journals that a commonality I have for when a girl flakes after Date 1 is that the date itself ended on a bit of a "low note". For example, when I know logistically that sex on Date 1 will be out of the question (through calibrating and rapport building), my metrics for success change from having sex to building comfort and narrative switching to "her chasing me". Especially when I'm actually having a great time on the date and would like to see her again. And I feel I'm able to do this quite well and consistently build the energy and overall fun vibe of the date.

Where I'm getting a little stuck is ensuring the date ends on that high note, since this is something that can really imprint in the girl's mind whether it was a "good date" or a "meh date". What I BELIEVE is happening on a few dates is that everything is going great during and I'm consistently escalating and then there's a bit of an awkward dropoff at the end. I basically just kiss them, let them know I had a nice time, then head home. Sometimes I'll text them afterwards but I try to play it "cool" and I think it's actually just coming off as weird / awkward (exciting room for improvement! haha). I'll also admit that I tend to get a little tense and nervous at the end of dates because I just have a bit of a weird thing with saying goodbye to someone...even with friends I always feel a little awkward (happy to go into more detail if needed).

  1. I'm curious of your guys' (and gals') thoughts on this? Maybe I'm even incorrect on this to begin with. Maybe I'm thinking about the end too much.
  2. I'm wondering what techniques or subtleties I can add into the end of my dates to really "wrap a bow" on the date and ensure it's looked back on as a super fun and exciting experience?

Some ideas I had were:

  • Callback to something funny, sexy, enticing from our convos earlier on the date to get her laughing as I leave / walk away
  • Being the one to break away first from the date (or even kiss) vs. waiting for her to signal wanting to leave
  • Building more comfort and deep rapport DURING the date to create more of the "us/we" narrative that she can look forward to

Looking forward to everyone's comments and discussion here! Cheers y'all!
